Yepper. Let's see Sylar smootching Peter. They owe us, at least one time before this sucker gets cancelled. The ratings are through the floor anyway, what can it hurt?
I have a crazy theory that one of the reasons they got rid of Nathan was b/c they feared the Petrellicest was turning off the coveted young male demo... :shifty:

The Peter/Nathan relationship was the last problem with this show.

Dontcha love the way Claire is on the run from a vicious insane serial killer who killed her dad (not to mention her once and her uncle at least twice) and hides in a closet where the killer can easily overhear her yakking with her ahem roommate and then she starts yammering about how much see feels sorry for the poor guy.

Great characterization there! Maybe Hiro's brain tumor is catching and everyone has one now to scramble their brains.

And I also love the way the writers apparently forgot that Sylar is now "nice" because of Nathan's consciousness - he wasn't very nice when he was sharing space with Matt so he can't be the reason - which means that Nathan's mind is the ultimate reason why Sylar is stalking and slobbering all over Claire.

Don't forget that Sylar is also responsible for killing Clarie's biological mother!!!

Oh right! And he attacked Claire's adoptive Mom, too. And no doubt traumatized Mr. Muggles something awful.
when Sylar was disguised as Gretchen tied up in the chair, and Claire came in, did he use his TK to shatter the glass like that making it look like an explosion? Or did he use that power which i thought he lost, where he can use is finger like a gun? He's never displayed that ability before. I don't remember him flicking his fingers like he normally does either. But i guess that would have been a big giveaway.

The telekinetic "force field" or whatever probably doesn't emanate from his fingers or hands. Maybe from his brain. He just likes pointing his finger maybe as a guide to concentrate on.

Heroes might not be as good as it use to be, but it is still entertaining, and I'll watch, even if I don't agree with everything that is going on, I don't have to agree with it to enjoy it and see where they are taking us with the story.

I've been wondering where they are taking us with the story for the past three years. Maybe if I keep watching it will all become apparent in a blinding burst of sheer, unadulerated awesomeness!

I'm one of the few who loved S2 and "Villains" but I gotta even *I* have stopped caring about the show at this point. This Samuel thing is just being dragged out so ridiculously long, and his love sick puppy dog thing for the final cylon is just pathetic. It was cool to see Kaito and Kensei again, too bad it was a silly dreamscape thing.

I finally watched this episode. I grade it Below Average.

It had the normal stupidity that Heroes is now known for, but nothing more stupid than Hiro's dream trial which magically cured his brain tumor.

Exactly, he just uses his hands to focus his ability. There's no reason why Hiro has to close his eyes to time travel, either, it's just the way he learned to switch his ability on.

For the record, Sylar has the following abilities as of the end of this episode:

  • Intuitive Aptitude - his own, natural ability.
  • Telekinesis (*)
  • Rapid cellular regeneration
  • Alchemy
  • Clairsentience
  • Sound manipulation
  • Electricity manipulation (copied, not stolen)
  • Lie detection
  • Imprinting
  • Shape-shifting
  • Disintegration
  • Flight
  • Empathy (copied, not stolen)

(*) - Sylar took this ability before being infected with the Shanti virus. The official word is that he kept it because his guilt over murdering Brian Davis caused him to form the same kind of empathic connection he had with Elle and Lydia that caused him to duplicate their powers.

Sylar had, and has since lost:

  • The ability to make glass objects explode by pointing at them. (Sorry, the ability doesn't have a better name)
  • Cryokinesis
  • Metal Melting
  • Superhuman hearing
  • Precognition (expressed through art)
  • Radiation manipulation
