Heroes is back with new episodes starting this Monday.

Months after explosions brought down Pinehurst and Primatech, our Heroes try to put the past behind them and begin new lives. Claire's attempt to live a regular life is cut short when she uncovers a deadly plot orchestrated by Nathan to track down and capture those with abilities. Now powerless, Hiro tries to train a reluctant Ando to be a true superhero. Meanwhile Sylar begins the search for his real parents.

Villains was very hit and miss. I definately enjoyed some parts of it, and still like some of the characters. The long-term cohesiveness is, well, not cohesive at all.

If Micahel Dorn helped DS9, he can help Heroes too? :p

I'm not very excited for this at all. The more I think about the swandive Villains took the sadder I get.

And I've already heard tell of prophetic paintings in this volume. I mean come on just stop it, please.

Hopefully my expectations are so low this volume will be good... but I'm not holding my breath.

No more Kristin Bell. HEROES U ARE DEAD TO ME!

Well I'll probably end up watching, but it'll be on tape since I'm much more into this seasons arc on 24.

Honestly, this is the last chance I'm giving Heroes. After this half of the season, I'll know whether or not I'll be tuning in for the rest of the series or dropping it.

Weren't these episodes already filmed concurrently with the first half of the season? If so, I wouldn't expect too much difference in quality. I wouldn't get your hopes up for something superior just yet.

From what I recall, Bryan Fuller won't even be able to have any significant influence on the course of the storytelling until the end of this season or the beginning of the next, right? And even at the end of this season he's got to stick with what's been set up before.

That's just going from memory though, so I could be wrong about the above. I keep hoping for this show to get back to the heights of Season One, but at this point my expectations couldn't possibly be lower.

^You are correct - Fuller's influence will not really be seen until near the end of the season.

Jack Coleman was on local radio today, he told the DJ's that they are trying to take the characters back to basics and have things character driven not just plot driven. He says if you don't like this episode you have his blessing to drop out.

Seems like they are using some different camera shots. So far nothing really remarkable. We knew Sylar would be alive.
