Heroes reluctance to write any popular characters off the show frustrates me. They kill Nikki, but give her another twin. Syler 'dies' but reemerges in the tropics minus powers. Mr Bennett gets shot, but is healed by Claire's blood. Even Linderman is back! It kills all the cliffhangers, since I just assume whatever bad thing that happened will ultimately be reversed. There need to be major consequences and thus far there really haven't been any.

Barry Allen - dead and back
Oliver Queen - dead and back
Hal Jordan - dead and back
Jason Todd(Robin II) - dead and back
Arthur (Orin) Curry - its DC, he'll be back
John Jones - its coming, its DC afterall

Yeah, Tim Kring follows his comic book path of storytelling very true to form.

No one stays dead in the comics except for Uncle Ben. Look for that to change when Ben is revived in the next few years. :p

Yeah, it seems everybody in the Marvel Universe contains a piece of the "Phoenix Force".

With Joe Quesada in charge I can believe that sadly.

I keep staring at your avatar, and I can't help thinking that you are just torturing that poor frog. Throw him in a boiling cauldron...bring him back to life...throw him back in the boiling cauldron...bring him back to life...

The problem is, like other people have mentioned, that they keep trying to top themselves in "wow factor" (first season : City blows up, second season a virus kills off most of the world, third season: The world blows up) rather then in "cool factor".
They should have saved the world blowing up for season 7. I mean what are they going to do next season? blow up the galaxy?

The only way I can see them "fixing" what has gone wrong with the series is to have a reason why the future keeps getting worse every season.

Maybe New York should have gone "boom" in season one? Maybe that was the price to pay to make the future better (like Peter's mom & Linderman believed) - remember that "dark future" we saw was only bad because Sylar killed Nathan and became president and wanted to round up all the other supers to feed on. If the city had blown-up & Sylar killed and Nathan had become president the future might have been ok (well, except for all the people killed in the blast). Maybe by changing that future they have made all the rest of them worse.

If that is the "storyline/explanation" as to why every season things just keep getting worse, then OK. I can live with that. Maybe the series will end with Peter going back in time and killing Sylar and stopping Nathan from saving the city at the end of season one? peter goes boom. City is destroyed. The future is saved.

It's an infinite number of frogs, each one a time traveller from a different timeline. Ah the joys of time travel logic.

Next avatar, I'm doing the same thing to Peter Petrelli. :p I might use an industrial strength meat-grinder, tho.

I miss seeing your Sylar (wanting braaaiins) has Temis the cheerleader in his arms avatar.:(

Tonight on Supernatural, the brothers had a bitter argument about Sam lying to Dean about using his demonic powers when Dean was dead and trapped in hell. It didn't get resolved in 60 minutes. I would kill for some honest hurt and bitterness between Peter and Nathan like that.

Maybe I should resurrect them now that my avatar has turned out to be prophetic. Hmm, maybe this could use a bump up to 140x140, too...

I miss Sylar's Ramones t-shirts! What happened to them? I guess he left him in his lair from S1, wherever that was...

At this point the whole relationship is so convoluted that I'm not sure they could focus enough to have a coherent argument, what with Nathan being blissed out by being touched by God and Peter obsessed with figuring out how to change the timeline while trying not to eat anyone's braaaaiiinnnsss. Sylar's the one with something to bitch about, what with being tossed out like a day-old bagal just because his powers didn't turn out like Mom and Dad wanted.

Nathan's recue looked laaaame.

I wonder how Peter having Sylar's power is gonna help?

and who is Syalr's kid's mommy?!
was I the only one to think that Clare was the kids mother?

Ewww incestuous. Remember, this is prime time broadcast TV. It's one thing for them to deliberately include blatant Petrellicest scenes that you can notice only if so inclined, it's another to be so literal about it.

yeah I know, that crossed my mind, and I discounted the idea that she was the kids mum, still this whole Sylar is Peters brother thing is a bit odd

What happens in 3x06 confirms that Sylar is a Petrelli, for me anyway...

Papa Petrelli passed his power-taking power on to Gabriel and Peter. That's why they retconned Nathan's ability to be artificial, because it doesn't fit the pattern.

So sorry Gabe, hands off Claire. :rommie:

would still like to know who the mother of the kid is at some point.
