Comparing the pilot and the first few episodes through now, does it look like they didn't plan on giving her powers or having her know about powers?
Actually it's the pilot that implies that her power was something that would make robbery very easy for her. She was picked-up for shoplifting and when Nathan asked her why, she sighed and reminsced about the past and how she wanted to feel alive again. Or something along those lines anyway. It's been a while since I've watched it.

Empathic dreaming just came out of nowhere. Along with the Hip African Painter Dude and Super Strong Mohinder, it seems the writers just said "fuck it" and decided to bring back the powers the show had in the first season for whatever bizarre reason. Angela just happened to be one of the retcons to see this brilliant plan realized.

^Mohinder's new powers seem to go beyond just superhuman strength. His powers don't seem to be "normal", they growths on his back are something we haven't seen before.

Late to the party due to TIVO and family restrictions... loved it. It has recaptured that season 1 feel. And only 2 eppies in. Hopefully it'll keep on pace.

They call him Mohinder "The Fly" Suresh.:D

  Nice.

So I've been thinking about it, and is there a consensus that Peter actually healed Nathan without realizing that he did it? Nathan revived after Peter touched his forehead. Peter's such a sponge he could have come across a touch healer at some point in the future without knowing it, or Linderman is really there in the hospital somewhere lurking close enough to Peter for him to absorb.

^It depends on when Future-Peter replaced Present-Peter. Future-Peter has abilities Present-Peter does not.

The nurse clearly couldn't see Linderman.

He was already future Peter in the hospital. Future Peter got rid of Present Peter as soon as he chased him into the storage closet immediately after the shooting. Future Peter could have come across any touch telepath in the interim without even knowing it, especially if people in his future were running around with serum enhanced abilities. Peter being Nathan's shooter and his inadvertent healer would put an ironic twist on the story. I rewatched on the NBC.com site. Peter touched him.

Nathan's healing as of right now is still a "spontaneous unexplained miracle" variety. At least until we learn what's up with Linderman and whether or not he's simply intangible now, an "angel" (the angle I think they're going for), or a figment of his imagination.

And yes, I know Mohinder is "the Fly" now. But my point remains; the writer's just seemed to want bring all the old powers they wrote out of the show in one form or another.

Someone is still going to have to explain to me how painting the future is a power.

It made sense in Season 1 because the dude WAS A PAINTER!

Seeing the future? That can be a power. Painting is not a power.

I don't know that Future Peter necessarily wanted Nathan to die, he just wanted the speech stopped.

Hmmmm.....maybe he didn't want him to die. Maybe he wanted Nathan to think it was a miracle, to rethink his life. Dying and coming back gives you pause--Peter would know that from first hand experience. I would apologize about how I cursed the writers if that were the case. :D However, are the writers that smart? Am I giving them too much credit?

I actually figured Linderman was the one who brought Nathan back to life.

Or maybe, since he can change shapes, this new Linderman is actually Future Future Peter who shape-shifted, became invisible, and then projected his image into Nathan's mind.

Dun-dun-duuuuuuuun!

It probably was Linderman, but I'd rather think it was Peter. Killing Nathan, temporarily, would get him to shut up at the conference and then F-Peter probably planned to talk with him later. Dying and coming back to life sobers you up. Peter kept getting interrupted, then Nathan assumed it was God (with Peter planning to shoot him again in the chapel if he spilled). Maybe Peter thought it was better to let Nathan go on believing that since it inspired Nathan to keep quiet about the powers and to "do good" so to speak. If Nathan had gone bad in the future, him assuming in the present that God had saved him would have been a dream come true for Peter.

It would explain how in the hell Peter could be so nonchalant about shooting him, which I never bought in the first place.

I'm actually starting to like my Future Future Peter idea, though.

Maybe every character is actually Peter from a different timeline, and each one has taken the form of someone else. But all the Peters are unaware of it because the future is different for each of them, so they all had different memories and different reasons for going back in time. Peter = Everyone.

Except Claire. She's "special."

Except Claire. She's "special."

I'd like to put a nail through her special forehead. :scream:

No. Wait. She wouldn't even feel it. Damn. Make her wear a dress with accessories that don't match? Seriously, Claire is getting on my last nerve this season. I like both her daddies a thousand times more than her. Maybe Nathan and Tracy can have a baby. :D That was one hot kiss they shared in the preview clip I posted. Hot, but....almost desperate. Pasdar knows how to do the whole "longing" bit like a pro.

I'd be less bothered by Claire this season if she hadn't been such a waste last season. I just want her character to DO something. All she's done for 3 seasons is try to have a normal teenage life and fail miserably. She's needs to leave home for good.

Well, to be fair, she's completely drunk off her ass in this photo. She'll be cuter once she sobers up.

I've posted this before, but click here for a spoiler image of what Mohinder will end up looking like.

My new working theory is that the good, mild mannored doctor didn't just inject himself with a superdna cocktail, but was actually bitten by a radioactive caterpiller...
