Making Hot Mama stupid is a mistake.

Noah/Sylar highlights the contrast between coldblooded murder and mental illness. But the show seems to want to cling to crazy=evil (making Sylar the show's supervillain) while whitewashing Bennet's past (and leaving his process of redemption hanging!) This seems to be a dramatic error.

Parkman lost in Africa is boring.

Two Peters are twice as wet as one.

Supervirgin was born to be victimized. It sound good if she were to grow up, but running away to kick ass (who and how?) isn't the answer.

Nathan/Tracy doesn't matter because Tracy doesn't matter. I fear we are supposed to imagine Tracy is essentially Nikki, just because she's a clone. Have TV SF writers never met real life clones, AKA "twins?" Even when they are into being alike, they have distinct differences in personality.

I may watch next week for Mr. Muggles. My theory is that Mr. Muggles is a Hero, whose power is being smarter than everyone else in the family!;)

I'm annoyed by the fact that Hiro doesn't seem to have matured or learned anything of value over the last two seasons. The naivete was fun first season, because the powers were new to all of us. By now he should understand that his rash actions produce serious consequences. But he's still in "idea-blink-disaster" mode.

Daphne would be more enjoyable if she weren't channeling Chiana. She's too twitchy.

I still get the impression that Angela's powers involve more than just precognitive dreams. She must have some sort of manipulative ability.

By the way, in re-watching the first two episodes, I noticed that Mohinder's return to his apartment supposedly followed him putting Molly on a plane somewhere. Did anyone catch the dialog there or does anyone know where they sent her? I miss Molly.

Overall I am more encouraged by this season than last. There's enough potential in what they've introduced so far to keep me watching.

On the S2 DVD set there is a "sneak" of S3 and it covers filming of the first two episodes. The actor says "Molly has been put on a plane and sent away. Sent away to where and with whom though is something we don't know".[paraphrase]

I'm wondering if the "with whom" and "where" are equally important or just the whom. Sounded like the actor didn't know either and its something Tim Kring is going to use as a reveal at some point.

I'm not as optimisitc though, i think this season has only shown that it has the ability to mimic S1 thus far. With little potential to be as different as it and its characters should be at this point.

Time for the DS9 comparision:
Hiro & Ando = Quark & Rom adding comic relief to the show. :)

Do we think they've completely dropped the character of Micah's cousin (can't remember her name)? Or will she and Uhura pop up again?

Monica is the New Orleans cousin. Nichelle Nichols played 'Nana'.
Monica has potential. The only reason I can see to bring Nana back is that she is likely Micha's last living adult relative. Otherwise he would be a ward of the state I'd think. You might want to have some scene with Nana allowing Micha to go off with Tracy(which is where it looks like we could be heading). Maybe send Monica along as well?

Yeah, but Rom evolved over time thanks to a little thing called Character Development. I'm not seeing that when it comes to the Japanese Butch and Sundance. And you can't tell me that little future scene of Ando putting the whammy on Hiro isn't yet another Heroes red herring, ala the painting of Hir facing off against the t-rex. This show ain't that bold.

Hiro & Ando were comic relief back in S1. Hiro had an interesting story in S2. Now he's just an idiot buffoon. Even at the beginning of S1 he wasn't that much of a Buffoon. And given all the growth he's been through since then, what's degenerated into is just bad.

Come on, where is the badass Hiro that stuffed Adam in a coffin under ground, huh?

It's like the writers no longer know how to make Hiro both serious and lighthearted, and instead have him and Ando act like Laurel and Hardy. Or maybe that's Hardy and Laurel.

Anyway, hope Sylar is just dicking with Angela and Bennet and as soon as he gets a few more powers, offs her and continues being the bad guy he's supposed to be. (It also means he has to die soon, before he loses any sense of threat.) Sylar as a "good guy", no, just no.

^yeah I agree. I don't dislike Hiro and Ando but it does seem like they are a little too childlike after all the shit that's gone on since season 1.

I really do think Claire should have maybe been a season 1 only character. Save the world, save the cheerleader. She's running out of possibilities. Maybe have her a guest star to come back periodically like future self...

yeah, i really hope that this whole "one that brings the light" or whatever the quote from Nakamura was on the video does not turn out to be her.

I got a big Babylon 5 vibe when Takei said that. A light to fight against the darkness...

And then Bruce Boxleitner showed up.

Wow, Landry turns you down for a hotter chick (Tyra) and it turns you to a life of crime.

LOL! I'd have taken Brea Grant's character though.

I can't say I'm sorry that Nikki's dead. Her stupidity got DL killed and it's only fitting that Micah's stupidity got her killed. I think Tracy is far more interesting a character and her scene with Micah last night was great. As for Monica, I think the character has potential. I think her power, muscle memory, is one of the coolest to have.

I would have to see Hiro and Ando become brooding, grim characters. I think a lot of TV shows overdue it with those kind of characters and take themselves way too seriously. At the same time, the events of the previous season (his father's death, Adam's betrayel, and Hiro's badass solution to it) should have served to make him wiser and smarter when going about his business. I said this last week but that was thrown out the door the minute Hiro stupidly took that formula out of vault when his father specifically told him not too. It was also the height of selfishness, with his putting his juevenille need to be a hero over the welfare of the world. As a comic book fan, he should have read enough to know what happens when you do something that stupid.

Given their plotlines, powers, and penchant for older Trek actors, I'm waiting for Walter Koenig to show up on Heroes as a gloved telepath.

Yep. I'm sorry. Yeah she's cute but really, she has no offensive abilities. What she going to do? Smother someone?

She should serve some function but being a crusader is not one of them. I guess it's just that with network tv the writing is on the wall - it's unlikely that she'll ever be really bad without a reset button and they'll keep her squeaky do-gooder persona intact. I'm ok with people who are supposed to epitomize heroic action but hey, even heroes still fart in church, so to speak.
