Agreed. In fact, all of your guesses in the original post could be considered "big" spoilers. We must also consider the fact that many of these spoilers amy not be independent of one another.

My guess is that there will be an alternate timeline change for this movie and for its sequels. And the spoiler will be that it is the older Spock's fault. Ultimately I believe Older Spock, in order to preserve his own timeline, will have to become the protector of the alternate universe as well. A guardian, if you will.

I think it's more likely young Kirk will be killed, but then saved again by Old Spock, and when young Kirk is killed it will create the aforementioned alternate timeline where the warship is seen.
