Does anyone know if this topic will be covered this final season? I was really hoping in the time travel scenes of last season there would have been an explanation or a snippet of how the balloon came to the island. I am wondering if Gale is going to be a mystery with no explanation.

I think this is one of those things that has fallen by the wayside. They talked about showing this scene several years ago, but haven't heard anything recently.
I don't really see the need to see it. I guess the only debate is if Ben killed him or someone else. Either way, it's a minor mystery, not a major one.
Michael Emerson recently said he really wanted to see a flashback of this, but that at this point is probably wasn't going to happen.
Yeah, probably not, but it would be fun to see.
