Help with Season Sets!

Hey, just a quick question guys.

I just recently purchased ST:TNG Season 7 Box set to finally complete my TNG Season collection.
But something bothers me, without removing the factory seal I noticed the box is not the exact same as the other 6 seasons! It has a different enclosure, the cover rests on the inside father than the outside! Did I stumble upon an updated version of the packaging? Please help me for the sake of consistency!

IIRC, there is a new version of the DVDs out in some regions, (not Region 1 (USA/Canada), IIRC) So either you have an updated set from another region, a set from another region altogether, or a bootleg.

This seems unlikely, I bought it from HMV here in Canada. It has Canadian G rating, and Us not Rated.

Its a 2002 , 90th Paramount Anniversary edition, like all the others. Number on the side is 06124.

Hmmm. Not sure man. Only thing I can think of are different regions.

Only thing I can for sure say is that all of the seasons I have -which I bought here in the US the day the came out- are all the same.

That looks like the Region 1 sets we have here in the states.

Looks like alternate packaging, alright. My S7 set is exactly the same as your S6 in terms of design. I find it curious, too, that your S7 set as the purple color band along the edges to imitate the look of the original package design.

A quick check on Amazon.com has them still selling the 2002 release versions. So if there is an update, they haven't changed over (at least in terms of what they are displaying online).

Well I'm gonna return it and try finding an original version for my collection.. though small a thing it may be. I'll probably order it from Amazon as you did!
