Help with episode title

digger

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
I don't remember what the entire episode is about, but I do remember this one scene. There were two characters, at least one of them a Ferengi. Whether that means it was Jake and Nog or Quark and Rom, I don't remember. Anyway, these two characters are crawling through the Jefferies Tubes trying to sneak somewhere but make a wrong turn and end up exiting into Sisko's office. Of course, he's sitting at his desk and just gives him a "what the hell" look.

**EDIT**: It just occurred to me that they probably wouldn't be called "Jefferies Tubes" on DS9, only on a starship. So, I guess they were just crawling through the ductwork.

Thanks, Mr. Darcy.

FYI--you're first link is incorrect--I believe you left off the last parentheses in the actual link.

Corrected.

I believe that would qualify as "Copy and Paste Fail". :klingon:

P.S.: I love that scene. :)

Agreed! I totally forgot about the Rom "no...No...NO" scene until just watching it now.

The episode had some fun bits, but I never understood why on earth the Dominion would kidnap Quark's mother...

I love the cameo from Iggy Pop. :-D

Yeah that took me a bit to clue in as to why that Vorta seemed so familiar, as well as odd looking.

^ Looked like he had something stuck somewhere in his neither regions.

I think this is one of the best Ferengi episodes and it does justice to alot of the characters. Lech is an interesting fellow, as is Brunt (played brilliantly by Weyoun!).

I just watched this again, and yes, the "No, no, no" scene with Quark and Rom ending up in Sisko's office is a highlight, but what struck me the most is that this is actually a "bottle-episode". A damn good one at that. If only they had these writers back in TNG's second season when the best "bottles" they could come up with was Shades of Grey!

This was a funny episode, but I kept wondering why on earth the Dominion would kidnap Ishka (Quark's mother).

The orginial idea was for the Dominion to kidnap Zek - I assume as a way to force the Ferengi to accept Dominion rule. It would have been Ishka who contacted Quark and begged him to mount a rescue. That way every recurring Ferengi character would be in the episode.

However, Wallace Shawn was unavailable for the that episode, so it was changed so that Ishka was kidnapped and Zek requested Quark's help offscreen.

You do realize the 'bottle' episodes were those filmed entirely on the pre-existing 'standing' sets. Shades of Grey was a clip show.

Yes I did realise that. Were there any new sets for Shades Of Grey? Planet Hell was a standing set so I didn't think the planet scenes counted as a new set.

We could say it was a bottle-clip episode if we want to be pedantic. :bolian:
