Help! We're drowning!

Upstate New York is under about 4 feet of water. The news said Pennsylvania is drowning too. The Susquahanna River should crest later tonight.

I know the whole East coast is getting all of this rain; have any of you been evacuated?

yes, with all the roads around us closed, we just can't go anywhere. Even the Thruway is closed for 3 or 4 exits...:D

In this area, Utica, Whitesboro and Rome to the East, and Syracuse, Canastota, to the West got the worst of it. We're surrounded by floods.

I live in New Jersey near the Passaic River. There's been a lot of flooding, but fortunately none of it has come to where I live. The parking lot at my job is halfway underwater, though! Crazy.

Were moving up to the Syracuse area soon. How is the Manlius/Fayetteville/Dewitt Area?

Parts of Syracuse are a bit flooded, but, unless you'll be here by tonight, you shouldn't have any problems...it's already getting back to normal. Even the Thruway is draining today.

Help! We're on fire!

Here, it's a swamp; we're used to being at least a little bit under water. A little flooding USED to happen every few years. Not anymore, though, it seems. So, if you wouldn't mind all pointing your fans out the window and leaning in a southwesterly direction, we would appreciate it.

I've already pointed my fan in your direction; it doesn't seem to be helping anything, though.

I have been keeping you in my prayers; that seems to be the only thing I can do.

My mom, long time ago was the manager at Olympic Bowl in Belleville, across from Patmart and next to McDonalds on Washington Ave.
