Help Needed Identifying A Kids Book

There was this book that I loved as a kid, but I can't remember its title and I have so far been unable to find it using Google searches. It was a book for kids featuring construction equipment. The equipment was somewhat cartoonish, but mostly realistic.

They were building a road, I think, because there was a bulldozer, a steam roller, a grader, a crane, etc. The machines were arguing that they were each the most important piece of equipment. The bulldozer would say that he is the greatest because he removes all the crap that is in the way, but then the grader says "no" he is the greatest because that doesn't leave the area flat enough for the road to be built, etc down the line of equipment. In the end they all agree that they are equally good because they are all needed to finish the job.

If anyone knows the title or author (editor?) or publisher, that would be a great help. Thanks.

Go to ebay and see if you can find the book you're looking for there, they've got several pages worth of children's books, you might even be able to ask someone there for help.
Good luck finding what you're looking for!

Yeah, it's not Bob the Builder. I guess I should have included that I had the book in the early to mid-80s.

Haven't yet found it on Ebay.

I don't think Bob The Builder started until 1999 (according to Wikipedia), that is what made me think that I should include the timeframe of my reference.
