In no order, but as far as the best episodes go, I'll add some teensy emphasis on the major belters that should be seen first...

After these, there are still plenty of good-to-great episodes...

Note: IMHO, season one didn't do much for me and CARETAKER was more corny than good. I think it's worth a watch, but not right away - I say this because I tried to get a friend into the show from the get-go and it turned him right off. Just know that some characters are Federation, others are Maquis (anti-Federation) and they've been catapulted into the Delta quadrant, which is on the opposite side of the galaxy. Wheeeeee! :D

Episodes not needing any significant character or situational background - try these first, since you'll get to see how characters operate. As they grow on you, it'll make a far more satisfying experience for the episodes I'll mention later on;

  • SCORPION - In a way, this is a mini-reboot for the show. The new changes revitalize the show in a big way, leading to Seven being the breakout star of season 4. The Seven/Janeway duo is even more amazing the moment you find out the two actors were not fond of each other. This might be worth seeing earlier on, and you don't really need to know how the characters tick to enjoy. (I think... folks, please feel free to counter me on any of these! :D )
  • MACROCOSM - a fun one where a virus becomes our size. Roll with it, it's a hoot.
  • BLINK OF AN EYE - a great bit of sci-fi, and I don't recall a need to know who everyone is or why in order for the draaaaaaama to work.
  • THE VOID - it's Roddenberry's idealism on steroids, but VOY does it decently
  • FLASHBACK - it's a decent homage to Kirk's era, while fleshing out Tuvok as a character.

There are probably others, but these to me are standouts.

Episodes that, IMHO, are needing some character background as a prerequisite. In no order:

  • THE RAVEN - sets up Seven's backstory. See this after SCORPION.
  • MELD - this requires knowing enough about the character backgrounds (e.g. Tuvok = Vulcan and suppresses emotions, Suder = Betazed and can read others' minds) but the acting and overall ideas are above average
  • LIVING WITNESS - the emergency hologram character (EMH) got a mobile emitter in an earlier episode, and it's used to great effect in this episode. I don't think one needs to know a lot about the EMH to enjoy what this story tells, but one needs to know our characters before seeing the alter-egos get to be deliciously eeeeevil. Definitely wait on this a little, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
  • WORST CASE SCENARIO - latter season 3 puts out some belters and this one, doing a 'what if we did the show the way it should have been, hence this episode being a partial in-joke' is pretty great stuff.
  • YEAR OF HELL - Yeah, this one involves time travel but it's done in a clever way. Knowing the characters at a basic level helps big-time.
  • TIMELESS - Borg treknobabble aside, and being in season 5 where we know all the main characters ad nauseum, this one is great.
  • PATHFINDER - Barclay and Troi return, to great effect. Unlike a certain TNG pairing that were thrust into the "Enterprise" prequel...
  • LIVE FAST AND PROSPER - Gotta know our heroes, but this one is an enjoyable episode from the show's latter half.
  • TUVIX - the transporter is the maguffin, and one should know enough of Tuvok and Neelix as characters for the best effect regarding some life-or-death issues on a high-concept scale
  • THE OMEGA DIRECTIVE - There's some okay Borg development in this one, but anything with Kal-Toh gets my attention.
  • DARK FRONTIER - nice action piece that build on Seven. Has some great TOS-influenced incidental music too.
  • HOPE AND FEAR - season 4 closes on a satisfying note with some great concepts and ramifications told. It was refreshing to see back in the day.

Please recommend me some good episodes to watch.

worst case scenario…

season 1? Time and Again was interesting…

Ex Post Facto - Tuvox becomes Perry Mason

Faces? What would B’lanna be as a full klingon

And I liked Learing Curve. Bio Neural Gelpacks catch a cold.

Season 2? Resistance, Tuvix, the Basics I

3? the basics II, Futures End I/II, Macrososm- Janeway becomes Kirk w/Shirt Off… fair trade… and I loved Rise- Orbital Piatform “he returned to the surface”

4 - concerning flight, Gimli as Da Vinci. Waking Moments.

I’ll suggest more later…

Thanks for the recommendations.

I'll check some of these out this week. I haven't watched the show since it originally aired, and I missed a lot of episodes on first broadcast. So I could never really get into it.
