Help. Is the bridge still atop the saucer?

Speaking of things that may or may not happen in the new universe. I don't expect to see it, but would the prophets still make sure sisko is born? Or perhaps, not really living in linear time, they expected it so they took sisko at the end of DS9 so they could stick him in the new timeline?

Again, this is fanwankish speculation, and I doubt we'll see any of it.

According to the DS9 Millenium novel trilogy, the wormhole aliens didn't comprehend alternate timelines until Sisko explained it to them, once he's been "ascended". Of course, with them being non-linear, that means they've always known... or does it?

So, I guess it's always been theorized that the prophets exist outside time, hence why they don't really think in a linear way. Granted, at times, they seem to be able to grasp the idea enough to at least manipulate things (sisko's birth for example). Perhaps they don't realize that alternate timelines are really alternate? That it all looks like (to coin a phrase) a great mish mash of weebily wobbly stuff? So they'd "see" that there is a sisko here, and not there, and want to spread the sisko-y goodness around?

And perhaps, in some alternate time line I've had enough sleep to explain that thought better. I'm sorry.

Won't every similar alternate reality have its own wormhole aliens? Won't each one independently "create" (manipulate or whatever they did) a Sisko if or as needed?

Maybe, maybe not. I think my thought was that if they existed outside of linear time, which seems to be what shapes the alternate realities and timelines, then they might not be restricted to one or the other. But then why make the wormhole and the sisko in this specific one? Why make the wormhole in one of the realities at all if they exist outside it? So yeah, I guess that really is ridiculous.

Actually, Voyager got there first.

Alan Dean Foster's TAS adaptations ("Star Trek Logs") postulated an emergency walkway around the perimeter of the bridge.

The bridge is at the front of the deck, at the base of the dome on top of the saucer. There are corridors and rooms (including perhaps the transporter room?) behind and around.

But the bridge is no longer the top deck of the ship. In the aforementioned pullback shot, you can see two windows on the side of the dome above the level of the bridge window, and in the "under construction" teaser trailer, two levels are visible in the structure above.

So... deck three?

FWIW, the USS Kelvin's bridge is also a room at the front of the dome on top. One of the branching corridors (Robau and George walk around another one on their way to the turbolift) is visible in this threadbomb I made ages ago (I can't find the original source pic).

If one assumes the uppermost lighted dome contains a collection of sensor equipment or something like that and is not a deck that the crew can easily access, then the bridge would be on Deck Three. The area between the Bridge window and the lighted dome is about twice the height of the Bridge window, which means there would be two decks above the Bridge...

...Of course, there'd have to be one deck above the NCC-1701-A bridge as well, in order to properly accommodate the wide-splayed turbolifts of ST5 and ST6. That topmost deck would hold the sensor dome and the aft airlock, while the actual bridge would be deeper down so that the turboshaft upper ends would not protrude beyond the hull.

That never stopped them from labeling that particular deck "A Deck". So for all we know, the JJPrise bridge is still on Deck 1, which just happens to be the third deck down...

There might not be anything habitable above the bridge. Those three decks of height could be full of machinery and support equipment for all we know – as long as we're assuming the topmost dome is a sensor, why stop there?

There are two large, lit windows on the side of the dome, above the level of the bridge. Also, when Spock wanders down one of the corridors off the bridge after beating the shit out of Kirk, we see someone heading up a ladder to a deck above. So I'd guess they're inhabited.
