    i like annotations. i even write them for my fan-fic since it's often sel-referential and referential of the novels as well as the shows and movies and people may not always get where stuff is from if they've not read all of it, or if they're one of those anti-ENT freaks.

    Annotations can be fun. At the high school I work at, I'm the drama teacher there where I get to write and direct our plays. Usually after the play is over, I'll update our play blog with a ton of background info about the characters and settings that usually don't make it into the actual play. Usually the kids get a kick out of that stuff as I spill minor details out over the course of our production run.

    Although, I can see where Terri is coming from too. Some authors just don't want to gab and explain everything in an "annotated way." There's nothing wrong with that.
