Hell's Kitchen Returns

Crap! I missed last week but saw the recap last night. Louross was a real surprise.

But Matt wasn't; and I don't even think his nutt-jobbery was edited to look bad -- he's just in-frakkin-sane. Bye bye you weirdo. How could he POSSIBLY think anyone was going to go before him last night?? The guy's delusional

I missed much of last night due to local severe weather and related disaster coverage. But these people keep showing themselved to be made of more and more fail. This is the most "picked for the sake of TV" bunch any reality show has ever done. None of them are even close to being chief dishwashers in Ramsey's restaurant let-alone Executive Chef.

And, seiously, someone needs to kick Jen in the head. I'm so tired of her and her loud mouth and wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she told what's her name 4 minutes on the steak just so she would scew up on it.

She has some (relative) cooking skills but she's got a big, fucking, mouth and too much 'tude. She needs to shut-up and get off my TV.

And it just occured to me. Matt looks like Evil Bert.

I haven't watched this since the very beginning (possibly just the first) of the season but my lord, what a mess. I couldn't believe Jen and "black Gordon Ramsay" were still left. Though I suppose they're probably gold for reality TV viewers. I think I'll stick to Top Chef for my reality cooking fix.

Bobby (Black Gordon Ramsay) has actually been pretty quiet for the past few episodes...I think he'll probably end up winning or coming close to it. He hasn't had any major screwups while everyone around him has.

I can't believe Jen managed to hang on last night. She's one of the most annoying people I've ever seen on that show. I think Ramsey just "sees" something in her (and I'm sure she's a good cook) but she's otherwise (depicted as) horribly difficult.

And I really thought that Bobby had a pretty good shot at winning this thing so wtf? :wtf: He had a crappy night but Jen's was just as bad. Jen should have gone first IMO

Probably ratings...

I gotta say though that this show even more than Dirty Jobs makes me a bit more grateful for my own job. I couldn't imagine working in a place like that with a guy like Ramsay yelling at me. Yeesh.

I was just as surprised that Jen didn't get sent home. I think Ramsay is looking for a chef that communicates well... and Bobby just sort of hung out in the back, not really calling anything.

My response to last night's "theme" by the way is: what the hell are fake breasted, brain-dead, 40something women doing on a kitchen show holding sharp cutting tools with which they have no experience??? Did I actually hear one of them say "I've never cooked a thing in my life" ???? She must live on tube-steak. Imagine trading 15 minutes of fame for showing the entire world what a vainglorious, idiotic, bimbo looks like. Cook a sandwich, honey

I really figured the prize would be a spa trip or dress in bikinis so you can run hang out in the hot tub with chefs because it seemed to set up for a girl to win.

I've come to the conclusion that Ramsey needs a tax writeoff so is setting his new restaurant up to fail - the kid at my local Mcdonalds can do as well as those dorfs.

Jen is loud and annoying but she can at least be heard and can cook (somewhat.. with a fanny farmer cookbook handy)

I started watching this after catching "Kitchen Nightmares" on BBC America. That show's really fun and sad at the same time. I was however surprised that "shit" got through as a word but "f*ck" was bleeped out. I know the standards are different depending on channel and such but I found it amusing. Of the two shows, I have to say I prefer "Nightmares" over "Hell's", but it's still a head shaking "WTF" experience either way. :)

You know, I noticed that as well. It's interesting how shit is passed on the show and the f word isn't. Right now i'm watching Kitchen Nightmares-Morgan's. :) It's a great resturant. :)

It isn't too odd is it? It's regularly thought that shit<fuck. It's the same way on FX. BBCA used to show nudity as well but they seem to blur that now.

There is a difference between what they get away with on cable vs network TV though as the FCC doesn't enforce "community standards" on cable.

I'm glad Jen is gone but I thought Christina would have been on the chopping block. She did burn Ramsey twice which is never a good thing. I'm glad she escaped that though since I do think she is the favorite to win this thing.

^ Couldn't see Christina going for that kind of stupid mistake. She's too good to lose for such a small (although painful) infraction. I bet it never happens again, either :D

I predicted the Corey/Jen nominations, and even though I've exhausted any or all sympathy for Jen, I really thought Corey was going to get booted last night. I wouldn't be so forgiving of someone who intentionally sent out undercooked fish (or whatever) just because I was getting pressure to get it out there. That seemed far worse to me than just being inconsistant with risotto. But I'm just basing this on last night.

Oh well, Jen is gone and so is that incredibly annoying voice and attitude of hers

Also, I can't believe for a moment they considered sending up Patroza (as a ploy to oust Jen). Well, chef... Patroza had an excellent performance on his station and contributed to a near flawless service... Jen on the other hand... lol

It would have backfired with Ramsey seeing right through it. But apparantly better heads prevailed.
