She makes me want to be a Professor Emeritus of Schwingology.
I wasn't shocked. This was the 1960s. It was probably more common than we'd like to think in our more sensitive and P.C. era.

It was also largley the 'end' of that era of 'casting', at least in as how dominant and expected it was. As we know, the 'casting couch' continued in Trek's legacy all the way up through Enterprise, though... probably one of Trek's sadder legacies.

Where are you getting this from? With Roddenberry I could believe it considering all that has been written, but I think you are making this up when you say it has gone all the way through Enterprise.I wasn't shocked. And probably still IS, in this "more sensitive" era.
Vance- Do you have any links to the Blalock story?Where are you getting this from? With Roddenberry I could believe it considering all that has been written, but I think you are making this up when you say it has gone all the way through Enterprise.
Jolene Blalock was pretty damning about it, rather publically, a few years ago (there was a scandal involving her and Berman which was basically ended by her going public on his ass). And, of course, the legacy of Jeri Ryan is pretty damning as well, (particularly when mixed with the grotesque fiasco which oddly ended with Obama's rise to the senate.. go fig.)
So, yeah, sadly, it was still a part of Trek as of Enterprise. We'll probably find out if it's in the reboot too soon enough...
Vance- Do you have any links to the Blalock story?
Also- I'm not getting the reference to Obama. How is Obama connected to Blalock?
...but, yes, Star Trek Voyager more or less gave us President Obama.)

Nice to know it was good for something.![]()
