Heads up for King of the Hill fans

Luanne actually evolved. Don't know if they'll keep to it, but Peggy for once seemed to agree with Hank that its time to cut back on the mothering - save for saving the baby's name. Bonus : No Dale ass-baggery, though I'm sure he'll deserve and not get a few more beatings before all is done. I would seriously like to see Hank deliver that ass-kicking before the finale. The early reruns on FX and AS alone have Dale a corpse several times over, as far as deserving it.

It's kind of strange they would switch to widescreen with only a few episodes left. Assuming they just aren't cutting off the top and bottom of a 4:3 frame redrawing all the backgrounds in widescreen would be expensive.
 
I did notice it was a bit more ambitious, ala the 'hidden scenes' in the Simpsons openers. The end is already writ, and likely in the digital can by now, but how would you end it? By this I mean format, not specifics.

My fave : a flash-forward. Bobby is too far away from any events save junior high graduation (Why in tarnation are they having a graduation for that? Peggy, when we went to school, you got one graduation that you worked your butt off twelve long hard years for, and maybe you didn't even get that! Now, when somebody leaves burger school, their family mortgages the house to pay for the celebration!) and with Luanne married and Gracie born, there are no more events to define a last ep. Except one - Hank and Peggy defy the odds and concieve another child.
 
BTW, did anyone catch the food Bill was ordering from his fast-food Lolita? Dia-Billic Shock, anyone? And he worked the circuit of the burger joints during a long drive. What'd the writers do, Wiki for info on diabetes?

Given the length of time between making the episodes and broadcasting them, I suspect Fox had planned this for a long time (it's very convenient both KOTH and The Simpsons started in widescreen at the same time), and so when the order to move to widescreen went through, they weren't planning to axe KOTH.
 
I"m looking forward to this weeks episode based on the title alone. From what I understand, Mike Judge enjoyed this one as well.

Let me guess ... his boss makes an ass of himself,m aybe even gets a quick engadgement, and gets Hank entangled in it, and this is of course all to Hank's horror, and they spend the rest of the episode fixing things.
 
Considering the arc some of the characters have been on : (Bobby being a little less weird, Cotton finally dying, Luanne actually showing signs of re-braining), maybe this will be the ep that finally pushes Hank away from Buck?
 
We got a pretty good episode tonight. Not the funniest episode of the season, but a nice solid storyline. Hank's meltdown was great, as was Buck's plan.

Hank's patience with Buck was finally rewarded, in its own fashion. Not an evolutionary but an acknowledgement arc; Buck does care about Hank, buried as this is by tons of loathsome behavior. I wish we could have seen more of Hank's stepfather. It would have been nice to see a father-figure who didn't have to hide his affection by crapping on Hank so often.

There is a Hindu concept called bodhisatva, something like a person who absorbs the sins of those who live in an area. Hank had literally absorbed so many of Buck's sins, he couldn't hold it all in anymore. Also, I wonder--will the intro of Ray-Roy mean that Hank will be cleaning up for a new generation of Stricklands one day?

I wonder if this series of eps was made with the end in mind. This kind of reminds me of the Dick Van Dyke show, wherein the penultimate eps all gave each of the supporting characters their own turn in the spotlight.

Hey, who hasn't tried that at one point or another. Let's hope we don't have another twig boy come in and take bobby away again.

btw, American Dad is repeating a KOTH storyline from last season about trans fats.

and it's good to see Bobby take a step twards a normal life

and as for that last Buck Episode, I was hoping Buck would make Hank Manager of his Strickland office and move on to oversee another of his offices
