HBO's "Westworld", starring Anthony Hopkins/produced by J.J. Abrams

I read some of them...usually after I watch whatever I'm gonna watch. Then I sometimes get curious about what other people thought.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure that ol' Often-Wrong is just hoping that their walk-on characters meet the fate of many human characters on Westworld - not that something bad happen to the producers who ignored his/her presumptive memos on Dany's arc.

No. Based on his previous comments in the Game of Thrones thread, he really means it. That's why I said what I said.

Oh, I know that. I just think his carrying on about it after all these months has gotten ridiculous and entitled, like Benioff and Weiss personally said "Fuck that guy!" and set out to rain on his parade. It's all part of his tendency to take production commentary way too seriously like it's written in stone and inviolable and not just things the production staff say to build anticipation for the season without giving away too many spoilers (meaning they may occasionally fudge the truth a bit to conceal an important plot point).

Plus, how many shows are there were you still are going to get an ending written by the author of the novels to contrast with the show after the fact?

I don't want David and Dan's presence polluting Westworld.... So, yes, I want whichever characters they play to die horribly.I

And as far as "getting over it" goes, 2 years is not anywhere enough time for the stain of them spending the better part of 5 years blatantly lying to their entire viewing audience about a certain character to fade and forgiveness to be warranted.

I'm watching the episode where William kills his daughter.

I'm wondering if this was specifically what Ford intended as "The game meant for you". Play up his paranoia so he would turn against anyone who reached out to him. Because he knew she would talk, and it would endanger his robot revolution.

I caught a detail I missed the first time around, that security guy discovered Dolores at the end and didn't out her.

Also I'm noticing that Dolores saved Bernard not because of anything she felt she owed to him, but because she suspected that a counter-machine uprising on the side against her might get some humans on the side of her species' survival. Maybe because security guy let her go. She needed somebody to play the role of empathic machine, in case her genocide failed.

They're not actually writing any of the episodes, it's just going to be an onscreen cameo, that's all.
