HBO's "Westworld", starring Anthony Hopkins/produced by J.J. Abrams

It's the same as released digitally already, no? They released half of it after episode 5 and the other half after the finale on iTunes, play music , and spotify.

"Westworld" was defeated by "The Crown" at the Golden Globes Award. I'm trying not to personally throw up right now.

Why? The Crown was a fantastic television series from top to bottom. It's a shame Westworld lost, but I'm more disappointed Stranger Things lost. But to vomit because one great show beat out another? That's just silly.

I don't care how "silly" that is. This is how I feel.

Also, it's the golden globes. The most corrupt (and that's an impressive feat in and of itself, deserving of its own award) of the entertainment industries masturbatory awards shows.

Since when is it a crime to express how I feel about "Westworld" not winning the Best Drama Series Golden Globe? Have you guys suddenly developed an aversion to emotions? Because I have encountered plenty of emotional responses on this forum.

I really hate it when people try to dictate how a person emotionally express him or herself on a message board. I find it patronizing.

They're not saying you shouldn't react that way, they're asking for more elaboration about why. They want to know some of the reasons behind your emotional reaction.

I haven't seen it so I can't speak to the quality of The Crown but it does seem like the safest choice among the field. I know which of the series I'd expect to see on Masterpiece Theater.

If you feel like throwing up, go ahead. As much as you ask that we respect you're emotionally attached to the Golden Globes, for whatever reason, you have to respect that a lot of other people think they're BS and have as much of a right to reply saying so as to reply consoling you.

I think Westworld deserved better, but it's the over-the-top hyperbole of throwing up that got you in trouble.

It reminded me of this guy:

I'm fine with it. I preferred Westworld in terms of rewatch potential, but The Crown was fantastic and deserving too, and this comes from someone who's not the least bit interested in the Royal Family normally. When there's so much good TV on the air it's inevitable that something you love is going to lose. The thing about good TV shows is that they usually have several seasons to gain more accolades, so Westworld can win next year or the year after that or at one of the 600 other award shows.

Really? This was one of the responses:

Overreaction much?

This sounds more like a criticism of my response than a request that I elaborate.

I'm still wondering whether it was hyperbole or a literal, actual physical response.

Consider it an obviously significant distraction from the point you were trying to make. There's a place for hyperbole, but sometimes it's better to say what you think, and why, and just keep it simple and reasoned without the drama. Going with what you posted, perhaps "It makes me sick" would have been less distracting than the imagery of regurgitated puke.
