ok if it has a virus wiping out vast chunks of the universe, im glad it is parked in status, hopefully permanently. you don't have to have universe ending calamities to build a good story.
 
I am not sure I really want to watch something about a galactic pandemic after these last 11 months and it also seems very similar to Discovery S3+ where they must rebuild after the Burn. I mean, I'd watch it, but I don't think I'd go to the theater for it unless my kid would want to see it.
 
I would. I love medical mysteries.

Star Trek has always been about tackling modern day dilemma (at least, in its best forms), so I further expect pandemia-stories to be sweeping the nation soon. A galactic pandemic seems a good place for Trek to start, and would've put them at the forefront of this soon-to-be tired story trope.
