After all, what would your average television viewer be able to accept easier? A magic spell of forgetfulness, or the explanation of parallel worlds?

I'm glad you asked. The Parallel Worlds concept wins easily, mainly because it's been done many times on a variety of shows, from Star Trek to The X-Files. This season, Fringe has an ongoing storyline about a parallel Earth.

The device of a "spell of forgetfulness" raises too many questions. Would Doctor Fate erase the personal memories of every man, woman and child on Earth? Would he erase every newspaper article, every photograph and computer record that had information about the JSA? This is an extreme solution to the problem of the existence of the JSA in the Smallville 'verse.

It's a two-parter, but the CW is treating it as a 'Smallville movie' kinda and airing them both on the same night. First friday of February.

Yes it was originally one episode called "Society" that was announced at Comic Con this summer, then it was expanded into two episodes the aforementioned "Society" and "Legends" and now they're being edited into a two hour TV movie called "Smallville:Absolute Justice". Geoff Johns...currently working on DC's mega event Blackest Night and Action Comics is writing the episodes.

Just to prove the "Different strokes" phrase - I really liked Stargirl, thought Hawkman was pretty poor (those wings are awful - make them CGI whatever but let them be *wings*) and Fate was ok (could be better).

Now - Maybe awful is too strong, but I didn't like the look for Hawkman.

Yeah Hawkman's wings and helmet don't look so great. I like his harness. We've not seen a front profile except of course for the pic in the other thread that the Dagman linked to in the first page. Stargirl's costume is growing on me though now that I've taken a look at it a few times, Dr. Fate looks the best though.
