Have you ever given up on a Trek series? If so, what was the last straw for you?

Two of Joe's kids also attended the school. I'm not sure who their specific teachers were.
I think that would be Adam and Andy Kubert who have gone on to do X-Men, Hulk, and Captain America comics etc. I wanted to go. Still do my own drawing.

I think I was gonna bow out of 'Nemeis' but I heard Data died so I had to see it being he is one of my fave Trek characters. 'Insurrection' had some good moments but was overall lackluster. But the reboot films saved me money though. I have not been watching much tv Trek post DS9 for various reasons though so I do not know how I would feel. But when I saw the new Klingons in promo stuff, I rolled my eyes.

It's hard to go in completely cold on a film's plot and details, and I've only done it once in 1989 due to a vague movie ad with appealing character actors listed on it. Anyhow, I came into NEMESIS not knowing Data was a marked droid, and despite seeing shots of Enterprise exploding in the THE SEARCH FOR SPOCK trailer I assumed it was one of those reversible tricks. I was actually shocked when David died, and equally surprised they truly blew up 1701 for keeps. To me, it was just a (great) ship. I only feel bad for Scotty, but to his credit, he assisted in the destruct sequence with no complaints.

DSC season 4. I realised after the first episode that I was hate watching and just watching because it had tge name Star Trek. I also gave up on SNW after I saw the trailers for Season 3, though I've seen a couple out of curiosity.

I won't watch Section 31.

I almost gave up on Enterprise back in the day, but thankfully it came good.

At the moment, I'm loving For All Mankind and Foundation. Both are smart, well written, thoughtful shows.

I refused to watch DS9 because I thought it was going to be like The Love Boat with no ship........finally gave in and watched it in the drought years around 2006......first couple of seasons were rough but I continued......and it wound up being my favorite and "In The Pale Moonlight" my absolute favorite episode in all or Trek.

Discovery, stopped after season 3. Seemed like a good jumping off point - the crew made it to the future, the Federation is on its way back to normal, Burnham is captain. Everything after just felt like an epilogue to me.

In all honesty, don't think I've seen every episode of TOS, at least not in their entirety.

Enterprise, Discovery, Section 31: for all 3 I just drifted away early on. All 3 seemed to be far more interested in being something other than interesting sci-fi & trek stories.

Tried revisiting all of them to see if it turned around or I was mistaken...Ent Season 4 was worth it. The other 2...well...

An interstellar Buc-ees with Quarks attached like a Pub/Casino with a no one under 21 sign. And the boss lives with his kid in a trailer across the parking lot. I heard on-sight security was a little slimy.
Quark's has no "no one under 21" sign. Everyone is welcome at Quark's, long as they can pay.

^^There was a first season DS9 episode where Odo was shocked to see Quark allowed Jake to go use the holosuites, until Quark explained Jake was using a baseball program and not one of the usual programs.

was excellent. for people with no sense of humor, not so much.
Just because people don't like an episode doesn't mean they don't have a sense of humor. Some people simply don't like musicals as a genre.

I have definitely given up on some Treks along the way. (TAS, VOY, ENT.) I came back later though and watched them all.

Others I kind of gave up on mentally even though I kept watching just in case they got güd. (DSC, PIC.)
I mentally checked out on DISCO and hoped it would get better, too. It never did.

I think it was early in Season Three of Discovery when I gave up when I kinda sorta realized that it was becoming 'Star Trek: Andromeda'.
ANDROMEDA was a better series than DISCO. Its first season had more good episodes than the entirety of DISCO.

Discovery.

I watched the first three seasons, I've given each series 3 season's to impress me. Discovery didn't do it. I didn't see a real redemption arc for Burnham. Then I saw them go to the future, 900+ years and still using warp? Yes, they said warp was a solid, tested and durable technology but no took my right out of my sense of disbelief. 900 years ago we traveled by walking, horses or other animals we could tame and ride, and on the sea we used wind or oars. The Federatin enginers who could "turn rocks into replicators" did't find a better way to go. No. They lost me. The warp nacelles not attached, just money spent to for the cool factor.

The unattached nacelles were one of the stupidest things DISCO ever did. (Sadly, it doesn't even crack the top 5 stupidest things.)

Yes. Adam and Andy both attended the school and both later taught there.

Currently the Kubert School is run by Anthony Marques, who bought it a few years back. It just moved from its longtime home of Dover, NJ to Madison, NJ over the summer. (The picture on the Wikipedia page is the old Dover location, though, which used to be the Dover High School.)
