Regardless the status of the Atlantis movie, I figured if I didn't spoiler code the possible plot summary someone would bitch. After all, I remember one time someone got all pissy in the BSG forum because someone posted the upcoming episode titles without spoiler coding them.

However, at this point I would be surprised if an Atlantis got made. And besides, does one need to be done? The finale left no unresolved questions and everything ended nicely.

The Asgard bad guys ? who better pop up in Universe because they were so cool as bad guys.

SG-A was canned because MGM thought we can make more money off it in the DVD format after the SG-1 movies raked in the $$$. What a fucked up mistake because now they are making fuck all since we got no season 6 nor DVD movies .

I believe we will see more SG dvd's but not till MGM sells the franchise hopefully sometime in 2011.

Fandemonium has just announced plans to relaunch the Atlantis novel series. Beginning in October 2010 they will publish novels which take place after the series finale. Details here.

Got to say, this could potentially mean that the movie may never happen.

Well I doubt there's any chance of an Atlantis movie coming before the next SG-1 movie, and that looks like it isnt coming out any tme soon so these novels will at least fill a gap.

I really hope they can do two final films that wrap up SG-1 and Atlantis for good. I personally hated the final episode of Atlantis; that series deserved a better ending.
