Has anyone written stories/novels about the USS Hera?

That said, though... How many stories have actively involved Geordi's reactions to the loss of the Hera? That's another thing that should have had follow-up on the series but didn't, and I'm glad to see that it's actually getting coverage now.

That's something that I wanted to cover in my pitch - mainly because my mum died four years ago and I finally felt like addressing it in writing.

But again, who knows what will happen

It came up in La Forge's session with T'Lana in Q & A.

And it was touched on in Greater Than the Sum. But I'm not sure either of those counts as "actively" involving it.

I understand it was supposed to be part of what eventually became the TNG episode "Force of Nature." If so it would have been infinitely better than what actually happened in that ep.

I wouldn't want to see a bringing them back. It would cheapen the whole episode. But I would love to read about what happened to them.

I would too. If they didn't want Geordi to find out about it then maybe have it that the Enterprise was visiting a planet and was told that another ship (Hera) had visited in the past or something along those lines.

I know don't post storyline ideas in the Lit forum - but its so common a possibility that its really not an original idea.
