Has anyone noticed

Evil Person

Lieutenant Junior Grade
Red Shirt
Ok so every enterprise has either blown up or been decomissioned,up to enterprise-c, Enterprise-D and E both crash with troi at the helm, enterprise d is destroyed by this, but enterprise e just looses part of the hull, now both of those enterprises, anytime they collide or crash, has anyone noticed troi is at the helm?

Was that in Nemesis? I can't remember if Troi was at the helm or not.
I mean, it's an OK joke, but really it wasn't her fault the Enterprise-D crashed.

No, nobody on this board has ever noticed or referenced Troi's lack of helm prowess. This is such a unique and noteworty OP, and it has changed my life forever.

Well i mean, none of the other enterprises have crashed, and ever since the enterprise-d has came along, every time troi touches the helm the ship crashes, the only time it doesent happen is, well was she at the helm when the ship from the 22nd century crashed into them? anyway i am not saying it is her fault, i am saying isent it a coinsidence every ship with troi on it has crashed when she was at the helm. but no other enterprise has crashed, they were attacked or blew up or were decomissioned, but the ones with troi crashed.

You'd figure at least one Enterprise would be in a Museum at least....

But then again what good is a legendary ship Enterprise if it's in a museum???? It should go out in a blaze of glory!

Then again Troi At the helm wouldn't be that glorious....she's a Counselor not a Helmswoman!

And look what happens when she gets in the drivers seat! I bet any helmsman will be like "Troi Manuever? That's only a last resort getting your counselor to drive."

Of the past ships, the Enterprise B's fate is the only one we don't know about (IE, On screen references, not books).

Troi being at the helm the two times an Enterprise crashed is a nice joke, one I've cracked a few times. But neither time was her fault. In Generations, the warp core breach knocked helm controls offline and the saucer was thrown into Veridian's atmosphere. And in Nemesis she was ordered to crash the ship into the Scimitar.

And yeah, the fate of the Enterprise B has never been revealed. I don't even think the books have touched upon it.

Why do I recall the original Enterprise blazing through the sky with Kirk, Bones and Spock standing on the ground while Kirk asked Bones what he had done. It is safe to say the Enterprise, no bloddy A,B,C or D, crashed too.

Actually, on a serious note, the fate of the Enterprise B is something that should be addressed. It couldn't have been decommissioned, Excelsior class ships continue on into the late 24th century. We even see one Excelsior class variant with the same modifications as the Enterprise B, the USS Lakota.

That would leave only destruction. But if it were destroyed, that would mean out of the seven Enterprises (NX-01, NCC-1701, A, B, C, D, E) four were destroyed, two decomissioned, and one still in service. Honestly, with those statistics, the name Enterprise seems like a curse and that the ship is likely to be destroyed.

Of course, we could always be smartass and assume for some reason the Enterprise was renamed Lakota...

Troi was recruited by the Romulans in Face of the Enemy. She was clearly crashing on purpose.

Maybe the Enterprise B was lost, taken by the Caretaker. Do we even know how long the Caretaker had been taking ships from all over the galaxy? Maybe it time travelled back to 1980s Chicago where Captain Harriman teams up with Ferris Bueller.

I don't see that as being too big of a stretch. Perhaps the E-B's service record was largely unremarkable after it's encounter with the Nexus. After doing its duty for many years, it is scheduled for a major refit, in which time it is officially decommissioned as Enterprise and the name is then given to the new Ambassador Class ship as the Enterprise C. Upon completion of her major overhaul, the ship is simply rechristened and she is put back into service.

We can't just assume the B was destroyed. The ship could have been around for 40 years or something and Starfleet decided to give one of its new 'Ambassador' class ships the famous Enterprise name. The B could have been retired and possibly rechristened (re-cycled) later on as some low level ship with a different name and purpose

I once heard a rumor that there was a scene deleted from the beginning of the TNG episode "Skin Of Evit" showing Troi and that guy in the shuttlepod in space.

Troi: Why don't you take a break for a while, I'll take over the helm.

Okay, I'm just making that up. But I do wonder...
