Has anyone ever pulled rank here?

It doesn't happen very often--I've seen maybe a dozen instances in the time I've been here--but almost invariably, the one attempting to "pull rank" comes off looking simultaneously like an overbearing blowhard and an utter dork.

Aside from the handful of people who actually seemed to believe post count really mattered and somehow made them "better" than everyone else (yes, I know it sounds utterly idiotic, but it happened), I can't immediately recall too many instances of rank-pulling. The sheer ridiculousness of taking rank (or post count, or number of years of membership) on a message board even remotely seriously is, hopefully, clear to most.
