Here is the evidence:
- Similar hairstyle
- Matching color shirts
- Both shown aboard flying vehicles
...Coincidence, or... conspiracy?

And both had strong older females as their minders: Harry Kim had Kathryn Janeway, and Harry Potter had Minerva McGonagall.

Having been a hardcore Potterhead for six years, though, I could probably create parallels between the EMH and Lord Voldemort if I chose to.

Both of the "Harry" characters had strong friendship bonds with a same-gender characters.
Except "Harry Potter" in the adolescent age they were friends with an opposite-gender character.
And "Harry Kim" in the young adult age they discussed their interactions with an opposite-gender character.
(The application of the term young adult is questionable in this sense, just defined via context clues for this.)

They both hooked up with a relative of their best friend. Harry with Ginny Weasley (I liked the pairing, even if the "Evil Green Tummy Monster" bit reminded me of bad fanfiction), and Harry with Linnis Paris ("Before and After").

I'm afraid not. I made it for a birthday or holiday card for my sister. But I may consider doing a new version for the Internet.

But I need ideas for who to cast as Luna Lovegood and Tonks (now my two favorites; not yet introduced when I made that old card for my sister).

As for Kim, the question is if he is Harry Potter or Porry Hatter.

One difference between the two is that unlike Mr. "Must Not Catch a Break" Kim, Harry Potter's love life was enviably easy. He went from fizzled Yule Ball date* to unsuccessful crush to One Twoo Wuv. Never had a relationship that he really invested a lot of himself in come crashing down around his ears. That's one of the most soul-crushing experiences of adolescence, and Harry bypassed it completely.

Of course, Harry Kim never got a relationship going in the first place. Even his holo-romance with Maggie Whatsherface was cut short by unexpected bovinity.


*Harry's actual Yule Ball date had freckles, red hair... and a Y chromosome.
