Today being September 8, which I think of as Trek Day. This year, it is the 49th anniversary of Star Trek's debut.

Happy Trek Day!
 
Only in the USA. Trek Day in Canada was the 7th in Montreal, and even earlier out west.
 
Trek day should be the anniversay of the date that Team Roddenberry got the official go ahead to make the first pilot.
