happy moon landing day

Yes I remember watching the liftoff from Cape "Kennedy" ...

and watching TV with rapt attention as Neil Armstrong took humanity's first step on another stellar body..
 
IT would have been very cool to have been there in person to witness that event, truly one of mankind's greatest achievements.

Here is hoping I get to see a Mars landing in my lifetime!

That was one hell of a day, wasn't it? People were just killing time all day waiting for the event to happen. It's like the whole world stood still for a bit.

Yeah, me too. I was bborn like 20 years after the fact.

Wow, so in that moment, the world was pretty much "as one" eh? Pretty cool that an event like that could bring the world together, if just for a moment.
