Happy Kelvin Day

It was after midnight in my time zone when I wrote my post last night, so from my point of view it really was the tenth anniversary.

Unless you want to be exact about it and mark 11:32 am AST as the 010th anniversary.
It's funny. I was writing on my work calendar for today and I was going "5/14. Isn't that something special."

Of course it is!

Happy Kelvin Day!

Yes, I know I'm a day early. Simply put, I have the time now, and I'm not sure when I'll get around to posting tomorrow, so what the hell, I'll start the annual Kelvin Day celebrations early.

Walk with me, my friends, and have a happy Kelvin Day.

Not to be a downer but I am still fucking mad that the KT was dumped so unceremoniously by Paramount.
The marketing for Beyond really felt like they just wanted to get through with it to satisfy contractual obligations.
KT needs to return with full force.

Chris Hemsworth did Men in Black right before he was meant to do Star Trek 4. I remember watching it and thinking maybe it was best we didn't get another film if it was as terrible and soulless as that was. Also the plot info (George Kirk actually beamed off the Kelvin and got stuck in the pattern buffer for 30 years) sounded pretty crap. It would have undone his sacrifice and made the most impactful movie opening in Trek history... moot.

It was an interesting experiment but I feel like it wasted it's potential. I wish it came back in novel form and somebody really went wild with this universe.

Yeah, the more I hear about the George Kirk story idea the more I hate it. We didn't miss anything when that script wasn't put into production.
