Happy Festivus! Let us have the airing of the grievances!

-Debates that are aren't so much political debates as they are dick-wagging contests or competitions to see who can be the most boring and disappointing without making any good points.

-Politicians who become far too popular with meaningless bumper sticker slogans and little or no substance to their ideas.

-Voters who allow those politicians to become so popular.

-Pumpkin spice in everything. If there's a pumpkin spice tampon out there I'm sure somebody will think it was a good idea.

-Netflix yanking some of their better films from streaming service and replacing them with crap. And not even good crap.

-People who think the color of a disposable coffee cup is more important to bitch about than hunger, poverty or war.

-Fans who think a new movie or TV series is going to suck long before it's even gone into production. Or has even been written.

-Idiots who go on social media and spoil a movie for everyone else because they didn't like it after seeing it, don't like it even without seeing it, won't like it whether they ever bother to see it or not or need to get laid. Possibly a combination of two of the above.

-People who disagree with any of what I just posted.

-The overpowering, dominant, loud-mouthed types of personalities who like to jump in and take over in a group, even though they may not know what the hell they are doing, while the quiet, thoughtful ones who actually have the skills needed to do the job right are ignored. Can you tell I'm thinking of a specific instance? I just can't stand it when some people think it is always their job to take charge, while those of us who actually want to think before we speak are pushed to the side.

-Everything (okay, maybe not everything, but a lot of things) seemingly has to be about alcohol. I don't drink alcohol because I don't like the taste and it upsets my stomach, but this seems unfathomable to some people. They seem personally offended that I don't want to drink their fancy wines or have a beer with them. I am constantly having to explain myself over and over again. NO. I. DO. NOT. WANT. A. DRINK.

-Same complaint as above, but regarding coffee. I hate the taste, caffeine upsets my stomach, no I do not want any! People keep telling me oh, it is an acquired taste, well maybe I don't WANT to acquire a taste for bitter flavored water with an addictive substance! I'd rather save my money and drink my water, thanks.

-When people say "oh everyone did crazy stuff in their youth!" or similar. Actually, I feel like I was pretty smart even back then and even though I got three degrees I never spent any of my college time at parties, drinking, making a fool of myself, etc. I actually studied and spent my free time doing crafts or watching Star Trek. You're just trying to justify your own past regrets by saying that everyone has them. Well I don't, so suck it!

Funny, I don't recall seeing you at my family Christmas, but apparently, you were there! ;)

I would add:
Dear Loud-mouth Loser relative, instead of you calling to apologize to me every year, how about you just DON'T GO APESHIT OVER EVERYTHING in the first place, so you don't have to apologize to anyone at all.

Your apologizing a day later, over the phone, every year, doesn't make up for how horrible a human being you are. I would rather you didn't treat me like shit in the first place, rather than get your half-hearted, attention-seeking "apology" phone call.

Grievance regarding the above: no photos.

I wish I had the ability to fly so I could avoid driving to work. Of course if I could fly by sheer will, I'd be RICH! :D

Or a flying car. The flying car would be more than good enough.
