Happy Arizona Statehood Day!

I'd rather be dead in California than alive in Arizona.

I'm glad we agree, I would also prefer that you be dead in California than alive in Arizona. :)

I can feel the love just emanating from you in waves there, Chaos.

I'd rather be dead in California than alive in Arizona.

Somehow, I knew you were going to quote that here.

I'm as constant as the Northern Star.

Now if anyone needs me, I'll be in the hospital bar.

Arizona is a beautiful state. I disagree with some of the things going on there right now, but that doesn't reflect the entire state nor all the people in it.

OBSERVE DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME LIKE THE REST OF US!

Congratulations. Hmmm, Saskatchewan does not observe DST either. I wonder if that says something.

Neither does Indiana. Not all of us in the US drank the DST Kool-Aid.

Squiggy, why should we jump off the cliff just because the rest of you did?

The governor may be an embarrassment, the state is not.

Amen on both counts. I don't think we've had a governor that was more of an embarrassment since Meacham, with the possible exception of Symington.

Then there's the whole fact that people think Albuquerque is actually part of Arizona. That really drives me nuts.

They think it's part of Arizona? WTF? I thought everyone knew it was part of Texas. :p

Hey, any state that can produce a person like Gabby Giffords, whose strength and determination are an inspiration, can't be all that bad.

Besides which, from everything I've seen, there are some amazingly beautiful places to see there.

Amen on both counts, brother.

Happy state day Arizona!
Now, stop stealing our water.

Regards,
Colorado

p.s. thanks for hosting spring training.

In Symington's favor, he is a Trekkie

And Arizona has had and continues to have some real characters in office, but Arizona was the first state to have the top 5 elected officials in the state be women. This was in 1999.
