Halloween Costume Thread!

A couple of years ago I was the iPod commercials' silhouette. It was a great costume but everyone thought I was in blackface. I had to keep explaining that I was a brown man myself....

strange, because i was at a bachelor party and one of the "dancers" at the "gentlemen's club" wore something nearly identical to that. we were all very drunk, but we recollected that and refer to her henceforth as Speed Racer. I'm sure you'd look great in it tho.
Gee....thanks....there went that idea....;)

Just say you're Danica Patrick ;)
Nah....I switched ideas....

Hint: I bought some pointed ears online and fake lashes....

I'll be busting out the improved version of this:

Now with boots!

Is it... velour?

Odds are I'm going to be wearing my 1860's costume I made for reenacting.

I was originally going to wear my Renaissance peasant costume I wore to the faire but it got a tear in it so I've got to fix that when I get the right thread.

My 1860's dress is lighter weight and it's been warm here so I'll be more comfortable. It's also lots of fun to wear.

Cool, I remember that was taken at one of the BART stations here in the Bay Area.

Hey, Venhardi, since Halloween is going to fall on a Friday this year, are you thinking about going to the Castro District again? I've never been there.

by myself, a post-apocalyptic punk.

with a partner, The Doctor and a Companion.

It is a definite possibility.

Venardhi, your costume is fantastic!

Today I bought the eye-patch for my Danger Mouse costume. I went to Halloween Adventure -- probably the biggest costume shop in Manhattan, where, starting around October 20th, there will be a line halfway down the block, day and night -- to look for mouse ears as well, but they had them only in black. I'll have to make those on my own too, but it shouldn't require too much effort. One fantastic thing is that my roommate is a raver. She sews all sorts of crazy costumes for Burning Man and raves. I asked he if she had some scraps I might use for my ears and badge, and she whipped out red vinyl and white faux fur, like they're the sort of thing every average girl would have in her sewing basket.

I would be down. My brother hasn't been to Castro for Halloween and I want to take. Though the last time I was there was a few years ago and I heard that it has tamed down due to some violence.

Last year was pretty quiet actually. There wasn't much going on based on what they showed on the late-night news.
