This week's contest is devoted to depictions of the American President in television and movies. It can be from ANY genre, any era, just so long as it is a fictional character and not a depiction of an American President who actually lived, like "Young Mr. Lincoln."

You may enter up to two avatars. Standard av rules apply: 200 x 200 pixels max, 1 MB max and work/Google safe.

The poll will go up on Sunday, Oct. 4th, or thereabouts.

Here's mine:

Peter Sellers in "Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb."

Harrison Ford in "Air Force One."
ETA: changed the picture choice.

I went all Aaron Sorkin with my choices:

#1

Michael Douglas as President Andrew Shepherd, The American President

#2

Martin Sheen as President Josiah Bartlet, The West Wing

edit: I may tinker with the first one before the deadline; I got that from a YouTube screencap of Shepherd's big speech in the press room, and it looked a lot better on my other computer.

E.G Marshall (not his first time playing a president, oddly enough) president, kneels before Zod because Zod doesn't get offended when people take a knee in Superman 2.

First Family was not a good movie. I recall watching it as a kid and as I recall it was somewhat offensive. Not in a funny way, either. But Bob Newhart does look like a politician. People sometimes have this canny way of looking like they belong in a certain era and place.
