I only had 3 wisdom teeth to start with--they took 1 one time and then the other 2. Fully conscious--just numbed up. I have no idea how they fit in there. Not impacted, but very "short" and the roots went almost sideways. I have a small jaw.
Yeah, it's the shots that hurt. I told my dentist once that I felt more than one pain, like a new one as the needle went in. He asked how many. I said "6." He said the needle goes into/through 6 lays in the cheek.
Is that true?
Anyway--take good care of your teeth! In three months, I go back to the dentist to see if the implant is secure, so they can put a new new crown on. That tooth had a filling, then a new filling, then a gold crown, then a new gold crown, then root canal, then I cracked the damn thing in two places.
I have a very hard bite when I sleep. The dentist said that I actually have strong teeth, which is why I keep breaking them. For the 8 molars, this will be my 15th--obviously, I've had to replace some crowns. I have a very hard bite. Replacement tooth is over $2000 US.
Let me tell you--yanking the tooth out was nothing compared to them DRILLING INTO MY JAW for the implant. SHIT!! That just felt wrong.
Hopefully, I won't wake up in the middle of the night sometime, having broken my jaw.
