Yeah I was wondering if people didn't read at first because I shortened Entertainment Tonight to E.T.? Remember that this is all supposed to be in true 3D like Avatar was, including the mask if I'm not mistaken which is still why it looks painted on. Hal Jordan is a goob or whatever that means, he's not Clark Kent, he's always been a little rough around the edges and not squeaky clean.

I think that Ryan will do a good job, the clips were way too short to give an actual opinion on his acting in the film. I doubt one would be able to do that until seeing the actual film. But for the action and adventure aspect of the film, I'm sold.

I knew of Iron Man but I had read very little of him so perhaps that's why I wasn't put off by any of the film's divergences from comic continuity. I just knew the basics. In like manner I know little of Green Lantern but the basics and what I saw in the DC animated DVD Green Lantern: First Flight. So again I'm open minded here.

As was stated in a previous thread all you need to do to get prepped for this film is read "Green Lantern: Secret Origins" since the plot of this film is taken heavily from that arc. Not sure how much of it will be in there but from what I've read already seems quite a bit.

When I saw this thread title I thought it was going to be about E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial being a Green Lantern.

I'm very disappointed now.

Deadpool stealing GL's ring would make for an awesome crossover movie!! I think I'm most looking forward to seeing Mark Strong as Sinestro!!! Excellent casting choice, and Oa along with the other Corps members.

Alternatively, just, you know, turn up and watch the actual movie. Why bother 'prepping' for it? What do you do if you go see an original movie not based on a pre-existing comic or book?

My first thought was, "Holy CRAP! Abin Sur screwed up and gave the Power Ring to freakin' WILL FERRELL!"

I know it's only a few seconds long but the personality seems WAY off for Hal Jordan. "I KNOW! RIGHT?" Gimme a break.

I am NOT encouraged by what I saw in this clip.

Jackson...the poster was talking about movies not based on comic books or novels what I do to prep for them, not "Green Lantern" and in response to your post again I repeat myself read "Green Lantern: Secret Origins" and you've seen this film.
