Greatest One-Shot Villain in Dr. Who?

sonak

Vice Admiral
Admiral
Classic or New. As long as it wasn't a recurring villain, like the Master, the Rani, Sil, Davros, etc.

For me, it would be either Sharaz Jek from "Caves of Androzani" or the Chief Clown from "Greatest Show in the Galaxy"

Keith Boak.

Sutehk, the Destroyer from "Pyramids of Mars".

Not many characters can prove so charismatically threatening while immobilized upon a granite chair for several thousand years!

What a voice! What a voice! And he exuded such menace all without screaming. Actually, he came across even more frightening with those dulcet tones.

Sincerely,

Bill

Even though he my user name I feel Davros should have been a one shot villain. But since I cannot name him here I have to choose his right hand man, Nyder.

^Yep the Doctor could defeat Daleks, Cybermen, his fellow rimelords, yeti etc.. but he couldn't defeat Michael Grade.

For the classics, in order of Doctor:

Mavic Chen
Tobias Vaughn
Stahlman
Sutekeh
Sharaz Jek
The Valyard
Fenric

Now, now, Mel was a recurring/starring Villain, not a one-shot (Unless we stop at Colin Baker). If Mel counted, I'm sure someone woulda thrown JNT out there by now

Though I don't have many problems with 5, 6, and 7. I love all of Classic Who (Sure I recognize some cringe-worthiness, but, that just makes it all the more endearing, so don't think this is me JNT bashing)

absorbaloth, absorbatron...

that alien from the tenth doctor series that absorbed most of the linda members. in his human form, he was kinda suave in a pathetic kinda way. which took an about face when he revealed his true form. i had a good laugh at the end when he was trying to be all threatening and the doctor was like, "yeah? so what? i don't even have to move to beat you because you've already been beaten."

i'm paraphrasing of course, but it was pretty funny

I'd argue the Absorbaloff (for worst!)

Best, well I quite liked Anthony Head's Mr Finch, and the idea of the Krillitane in general.

If he hadn't come back for a second appearance Lytton would count, as would Sil...
