:) It premieres one week from tonight. Tonight the season finale is rebroadcast. This clip is precious, and so typically Bobby. I wasn't going to look, then someone posted it outside of a spoiler section and I finally caved.

Man... I'm really looking forward to Season 4.

It's funny to think that a year ago I'd never seen a single episode of Supernatural and though that it was roughly equivalent to Smallville in type & tone.

Glad I got over that little misunderstanding.

The blogger from duckydoestv got advance copies of the first two eps as part of a press package. He couldn't stop raving about them. Yea!:techman:

Oh good grief, Ducky makes reference to a "controversial" scene in a diner in the first two eps. I wonder what he means by that. How controversial could this show be after they showed a little four year old listening as the anti-Santa Claus went upstairs, beat his father to death, and dragged his body downstairs in a bag? :alienblush: Maybe he thinks it's something the maniac Dean girls will disapprove of?

In a move to appeal to women 18-34 the diner scene includes a scene of Sam and Dean naked tag teaming the female guest star......

Oh, wait I might actually want to see that...

But seriously I have tried to stay away from in depth spoilers (Still have peaked a few times) and am really pleased with what little I have scene.

But in my hick town, tv guide is showing that the secondary HD channel that was showing the CW is showing another NBC feed.

I have no idea if they have normally shown it listed that way (never checked), but I might (prays against) that I have no CW feed.

Oh well I have a few other options that will only be an hour or so later then when it would actually air. But still hours count.....

As it is I am always eagerly waiting to hear the first comments from the east coast broadcast.

So without actually cheating (I did watch two clips and have seen a few photos for this weeks episode).

I wonder if Dean was buried with his necklace?

I wonder if Sam finally got rid of the tape deck in the Impala. I hope he did. I think it would be a great lighter moment if Sam had gotten rid of it and replaced the tunes with his own.

Me as well. I wouldn't have looked at that clip, but someone put it in the wrong forum at sn.tv before the mods moved it. I broke down.

Its funny I have looked at episode titles and read some speculation (and I suspect some of those posters have read sides). But i haven't read a single side this year. I did watch the two clips out for this episode.

photos of when the brothers meet, just some crappy photos but aweeeeeeee..... Hint its similar to me avatar that I couldn't resist looking at

But otherwise, this is easily the least spoiled I have ever been since the first episode I ever watched (hello Nightmares, and thank god it wasn't Route 666).

Thanks for the AV comment Dorian Thompson.

The first episode of Supernatural I ever watched was the last 15 minutes of 'All Hell Breaks Loose' - Part 2.

I had no clue what the hell was going on, but Oh Freakin' Boy! was it fun.

The same thing happened with the US version of The Office and 'Casino Night'. Creed pick-pocketed poker chips all night long and then won the refrigerator because he was chip leader... I was hooked.

I'm really hoping they get the "Colt" back at some point... plus they need to either find or create a sawed-off shotgun version called the "Winchester".

I've been looking forward to the premire since last seasons finale...and the clip the CW have been showing of Dean trapped in hell held by some fierce looking chains!

Me, too. The premiere's getting some good advance reviews in the trades. It's looking up. And the CW, of course, hasn't so much as made one trailer for it. They've completely abandoned it for Gossip Girl and 90210. Some media sites have commented that the CW has a gem of a show in SPN that it doesn't seem to care about because it draws the wrong demo and that it's a lame network. I love it. Thank heavens it's a Warner Show or it would be long gone thanks to Dawn.

I'm surprised they haven't leaked yet, a few others have. Anyway, I guess I know what the first thing I'll be doing on my birthday will be.

Well advance happy birthday to you.

All i know is I better get to see it before then.

Be glad you aren't along the Texas coast near Houston. One of the girls at sn.tv (she was posting from school) won't have power for three weeks. She's missing the first three eps for sure. She's thankful she's not living in a shelter. They're staying with friends who don't have a television at all.

Not related to season 4 but what the hell. the Numbers have just released sales figures for the first week of Supernatural season three on DVD.

So far this last season has opened the strongest both in units sold and revenue generated.

Season one opened in 14th place sold 101 thousand units generating 3.404 million dollars and by its 2nd week had sold 150 thousand units and generated 5.265 million dollars in revenue. After that it fell off the top 30.

Season two opened in 15th place sold 56,000 units and generated 2.12 million viewers. And never showed back up on the top 30 list.

Season three opened in 6th place sold 109,000 units and generated sales of 4.26 million (enough if sources are accurate to pay for the full costs of 4 of the 16 episodes produced last year and this is just us sales).

ANd just because I can Gossip Girls first week sold 95,997 units and generated $3,711,244 in revenue.

One Tree Hill in its first week sold 106,164 units and generated $4,139,334.

So Supernatural in the us as so far performed better then the two other hour longs that have sales figures out (smallville should beat the living hell out of them, but we should be used to that , last season Smallville finally fell out of the top 30 with 404 thousand units sold and sales of nearly 15 million).

I'm not surprised. SPN has acquired a lot of fans along the way. Just because the rabid Dean girls on TWOP didn't like season three and decreed no one else must like it, exactly the opposite is true. I know a lot of fans who liked season three the best because they don't watch the show for every flutter of Ackles' eyelashes with a scorecard to see that his character isn't maligned by big bad Kripke. I'm not surprised one bit that it outsold GG. That's why Warner protects the show. It's a great long term investment for them. SPN is the long distance runner. Gossip Girl is a sprinter.

Don't ask me to explain how Smallville sells so well. I think it's a god awful show.

I was actually really surprised that the show sold so well so far this year. With people now more then ever being able to save shows on home burnt DVD (let alone on hard drives), with more and more electronic copies out there for sale (or illegal download).

And I would assume over the life of the set that it should probably generated about 8 million dollars. With DVD's having a huge profit margin (I have heard that the typical DVD cost to produce, market and distribute) I would guess thats about 6 million in profit for the parent company. And that is only in the US.

Factor in foreign sales (we never get data on that, ever), and the foreign rights to broadcast the show (where its seen by a much, much larger market probably 5 ( could be much higher) times larger at the least based on viewer data just from 5 of the 20 plus countries that show it.

I can definitely see WB pushing to keep the show. And its very nice to see season 3 selling so much more then season 2. Makes it seem like a lot more fans picked up the show.

One of the media types who posts at sn.tv got her promo package and watched the first ep. She won't spoil it, but she says the tv guide is "not kidding" when he says the premiere will definitely change the direction of the show. She raved about the ep, and she mentioned the diner scene, too. Hmmmmm.....makes you wonder.
