Great Moments: Worf/Troi

Sixth in a series of threads exploring great moments, scenes, episodes, or lines between two given TNG characters. You've come up with great stuff for every pairing I could come up with, so here's another: Worf and Troi. The romance between them towards the end of the series was kind of an interesting twist, which perhaps provided some nice moments. Also, bonus points for good moments between them before the romance thing ever started. What are some of your favorite scenes between Worf and Deanna Troi?

If you have anything to contribute, please do! I'll be compiling all your responses to these various threads into a nice list at the end (which won't be for a while).

Two moments spring to mind for me. The first is Clues, when he is escorting Troi to her cabin and a once there she looks in the mirror and screams, and he's back at her door in an instant. The second is from Night Terrors, when Worf is about to committ suicide and she talks him out of it and then takes hold of his hand to take him to sickbay, I think.

My two favourite Worf/Troi moments.

There's also that scene in that episode (yes, I know it's vague) where Wesley has created somekind of ritual for Worf and Deanna leads him to the holodeck and tactfully declines following him in. Season one or two I think?

In Parallels she makes fun of his birthday "you probably want to hit yourself with painsticks or something".

Also, I enjoyed the scenes between Worf and Troi in Cost of Living, both had considerable difficulty with Lwaxana and at the end, Deanna kind of makes fun of him in the mudbath.

A Fistful of Data's is another eps with a few Worf/Troi moments, specifically when he gets injured and Worf's initial surprise at her looks and aim (which was understandable since she was such a lousy shot in Qpid)

I'm sure there are more, as I often felt Deanna reacted somewhat bemused to Worf's drive to be the ultimate Klingon... there must be a scene in either episode with K'Eylahr (sp?)

My absolute favorite is in Parallels. Worf doesn't realize -- and neither do we -- that he's in a parallel dimension where he and Troi are married. She undoes his hair, gives him a massage, but when she kisses him, he yells out, "Ahhhggg!" Then says, "I do not believe this is appropriate behavior!" And she replies, "Even for your wife?" Then he yells out, "Wife?!?" LOL! -- RR

The scene in Ethics, just before Worf undergoes the experimental surgery, where he asks Deanna to raise Alexander if he doesn't survive the procedure is touching to me.

I loved that episode! Quite possible my favorite Worf/Troi moment was right at the end when Worf asks Troi to stay for dinner, walks to the replicator and says "champagne", the look on Troi's face is absolutely priceless.

Yep, that's a good scene, too. I'm trying to remember, but isn't this also the ep when he proposes formalizing Troi's relationship with Alexander, so that in case something happens to him, she'll be his surrogate mother? -- RR

Yup, that's in this episode. I was actually considering that for my favorite part, when Troi mentions that if she becomes the equivalent to Worf's stepsister it would make Troi's mother Worf's stepmother. Worf gets this horrified look on his face and says "I had not considered that!"

LoL, awesome

Not a terribly poignant or significant moment, but the first (and last) time we ever see a near-warp transport in ST gives us a funny Worf/Troi exchange.

From "The Schizoid Man," paraphrasing best I can:

(Away Team materializes on Gravesworld)

TROI: "It's the strangest thing; for a moment, I thought I was trapped in that wall."

WORF: "For a moment, you were."

Dorn's soon-to-be-trademark "aggressively nonchalant" delivery in that moment always gives me a good chuckle.

Made me think on that one. It was the B story for The Icarus Factor. It was built around Worf's anniversary of his Age of Ascension. One of the better moments in that Ep wasn't a Troi/Worf, but a Data/Worf.

Worf: "With all due respect, Sir. BE GONE!!!" :guffaw:
