Great Moments in TrekBBS History!

Also, I had this potentially lucrative and very visible music video offer at the time.

I haven't heard from Toronto Trekker in a while.

You rang? :)

I'm still around. I've been working a lot of overtime over the last three years or so and rarely get home from work before 9pm, which cuts into my online time, but I do try to log on every couple of days and see what's going on. My posts-per-day average has probably gone way down, though.

Not as bad as me. Back in 2000 I managed to rack up enough posts to get to rear admiral, which was my expressed intent back then (terribly sad, I know). Fast forward 14 years and I'm only one rank further!

One of the reasons I didn't accept offers to mod.
I haven't accepted any offers to mod because no one's made any offers, most likely because Bonz isn't an idiot.

I was a mod at another forum once, first the current events forum and then as a super mod or global mod or whatever they called it. I was far too lenient, I only ever handed out friendly warnings and occasionally edited posts. There was really no point in me being a mod, I didn't do much.

My goal is to hit Rear Admiral before my ten year anniversary. I need a little over 200 more posts and I have until late March. We'll see what happens. Although, according to the FAQ (which I actually read), one needs 100 posts in the Trek-related forums before the ranking structure kicks in. I've probably made 10 posts in those, and five of them were because a thread I started in Misc. was moved to General Trek, so I should actually still be an Ensign.

^ Rear Admiral, not Fleet Admiral. With my average of about one post per day, I should hit Fleet Admiral in a little under 77 years.

Huh. I seriously doubt I have made 100 posts in those forums in the 9.5 years I have been here. And there is absolutely no way I had done that before the ranking structure kicked in.

^ It looks like they removed that condition. It used to be in there, and I was still changing ranks when it was in effect.

Greetings. :) Glad to know you're still here. Speaking of posting habits, I'm more of a lurker nowadays.

I remember a time when I would click on the Mark Forums Read button and no matter how many times I clicked, there was always something new. This place was really busy 12+ years ago!

Also, what ever happened to the Top50 list? It showed the the tope users on the site by posts. Some people were insanely high!

It's not with a direct link or anything, but you can still see it.

Click on "Community" on the top bar above, select "Members List."

You'll get an alphabetical (non-alphanumeric characters first, followed by numbers) listing of the members.

Click on "Search Members" on the right of the screen.

"Advanced Search"

Don't enter any data, scroll to the bottom to the drop-down menus. Change "User Name" to "Post Count" and the other one to "Descending Order."

You'll then get a listing of all the members in order by their number of posts. (Cooleddie and me being on top.)

So I did that, and it brought up a question: what ever happened to Temis the Vorta? She always had the coolest avatars. She just stopped posting...
