I agree. It was fine.

The episodes about their relationship bored me to death. Sorry.
No, because I'm manly, rugged and rough and have a disturbingly hairy man-arse.
But I do love the episode and enjoyed the time displacement aspect. Lori Petty was perfect as Noss and she managed to be both vulnerable and strong in equal measure not to mention sexy and weirdly convincing as an alien.
Tuvok was the ideal character for the story too. Vulcans fall in love in just the right intense way.
The spiders were good too.

That's ok. Every aspect of the show can't appeal to everyone. Every other relationship in Star Trek bored me. Riker/Troi? Didn't care. Jadzia/Worf? Didn't care. Odo/Kira. Really really did not care. The most I can say about Miles and Keiko is that they were ok.
Not that I am a hardcore Paris/Torres shipper but they at least blend into the rest of the show for me. There is no 'Oh crap. Them again?' reaction.
So, in other words, you reacted to it in every way, but crying. Very impressive.
Tom/Kes would have been significantly better.
