Picked this one up last week at the urging of a friend - despite having several other games that I haven't gotten through yet.

Michelle likes me quite a bit so far, kicks my ass in bowling, doesn't wonder why I pick her up in a different car each date...she's swell! I've only gotten just a bit into it, but it's a pretty impressive cityscape. Good tip on the silent mode for the phone. I haven't gotten far in, but I already noticed that the phone ringing right when I'm picking up Michelle can be a hassle.

Michelle doesn't even wonder when you jack a car right in front of her!

Then there's this.

Hey, as long as Michelle's getting taken care of, she'll roll with it. I don't think she approves of you shooting at people on dates, however.

There are some great parodies and pop-culture commentary in the game, too...just from the little I've seen so far.

I just hope my Mom doesn't find out I'm playing it! It could warp my mind or something.

Ok, so I just got done watching Roman's home and cab-garage burn and have a new safe house in the neighboring island, but when does the next, big, island open up?

The last one I dated helped me jack a ride throwing the passenger out.

Soon. (And be sure to check the radio for something new)

I love being able to watch TV, but there are only like four shows and they all seem to have just one episode apiece. Also, you-know-who's show on Integrity is fun, but it seems to be pretty short, and repeats a lot. I'll switch to Integrity after a while of not listening and it'll still be the same old thing. Additional episodes of that and the TV shows, as well as more shows on the other talk stations and more songs on the regular stations, would have been nice.

Right, another question.

When you find new places to eat, buy clothes etc should they be added to your map ? What if you buy something ? I've got loads of places in Broker but none in Bohan (which is as far as I've made it to).

There is a diner around the corner from where Brucie lives but I was not able to go inside.

Are places supposed to be locked until certain points ? I've still only got one place to buy clothes too.

Oh, and I went to a strip club with Brucie which wasn't on my map until I invited him. I was not able to set a GPS route for it either.

I almost suspect there's nothing at Bohan, since I past that part and no new places of interest popped up.

^I'm just wondering if I'm missing the clothes shops etc because I haven't tried to go inside and buy anything. In older games there was a marker outside to tell you you could go inside whereas in this game there's the aforementioned diner that won't let me in.

As far as I can tell, there are only three types of clothing stores: the lower-class Russian store in Broker, and the middle- and upper-class Modo and Perseus stores in Algonquin. There's one Modo store and two Perseus stores. I just unlocked Alderney and haven't actually explored it, so I don't know if there are anymore there.

^What about restaurants, Internet cafes, strip clubs, bars, shows etc ? Do they get added when you go to them ?

Look at the map you got with the game...
There is a 2nd strip club in Alderney...
No new clothes-shops though...

I invested $20 when I got the game and picked up the official game guide. It helps a lot at pointing out where stuff is. It's especially useful for armor and weapon pickups (although not always accurate).

Well I traded in Brawl for $30 store credit to get GTA IV. Considering I paid $5 for Brawl, not a bad deal.

I was about to play when I was called off to Kara raid. I have video games pulling me in all directions!

Nope, didn't buy it and I probably won't any time too. I've been sorely disappointed in my GTA purchases in the past. Maybe I'll pick it up when it hits $30 bucks or something.

played online today with a friend and dam it was so much fun, infact I can't remember the last time I had so much fun playing a game online.

:techman:

I haven't even tried online yet.

I'm being pulled in many directions, too.
Still playing lots of Rock Band (we have all but 15 of the DLC tracks...make it 18 with this week's titles we didn't get), playing TF2, Bioshock and GTA IV. Too many games!

It's really easy to get pulled in many directions in this game, between missions, hanging out with your contacts (still waiting for a chance to drink db Brucie under the table, but seems you can't invite him out), figuring out what the hell Little Jacob is saying, and so on. I've not yet even begun to watch the TV, really, or done heavy Internet Surfing.

Great game so far. :)

But, I'm tired of Michelle. You take her out, then you go fuck her. Yawn.

I haven't found any yet, but it any rooftop I can get to doesn't work for sniping/pick off pedestrians because the cops can get up to you too and take you out, then it goes from a rampage against peds to a shoot-out with the cops!

Dammit! I want to stand on a rooftop for (game) hours and kill inocent people!

Taking a cab around town is also a *great* feature, really helps to eliminate the time it takes to travel between the second Safe House and places int he first-section of the city like the internet cafe and Michelle's.

^ Yeah see I much prefer to always drive myself, so I can memorize the city as well as possible.

Last night I snuck into the airport and stole an Annihilator helicopter. :D Immediate four-star wanted level! I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it, either...
