Ahh I see, so you people bitch when Mayweather doesn't say enough, and bitch when he does. It's all so clear now.

m19

No one's going to bitch about Mayweather's silence from now on.

We've seen the alternative.

B-

Meh, I could go either way.

(Props to Montgomery for not making me want to puke durring his crying scene. It was actually pretty well done.)

C+

The opening: Travis, sitting in his "sweet spot" gets a call to come to the bridge. Damn, these Enterprise writers sure know how to hook an audience.

All in all, not bad. However, nothing, knock me on my arse fantastic either. Travis is just such a vanilla character it's really hard to care about him that much. I dunno...the past two episodes have been passable, but they certainly haven't reclaimed the momentum the show had prior to the last segment of reruns.

F

The show sucks.

They skipped 2 good chances to show nice, dramatic, HUMAN moments, (1) when Mayweather receives the news his father has died, and (2) when he walks aboard the Horizon and is greeted by his mother. Both of these events were off screen and so the drama and emotion was weakened. These people CAN'T WRITE WORTH CRAP.

And T'Pol ate popcorn with her hands. It's established already she frowns on this.

And why the hell don't movies from beyond the year 1950 exist in the 22nd Century? I am assuming they were all destroyed in WWIII. Let's hope the film with this show on it is among it.

C. . . a bouncy C. Enterprise neeeeeeds to get out of the "wrap up in last 5 minutes" formula ending. It gets so old. SUPRISE me once in awhile!! Add an extra hour to flesh out the story!! I thought we would have stick and ruddered our way out of this quagmire by now. Still, I watch. . .

Good points I'd noted down but didn't add to my review. This stuff was needed more than the lame space battle.

B. Not great, not horrible. Nice to see Montgomery have something to do, and excellent score for the episode.

I really wanted to like this episode, but it failed on so many levels I rate it no higher than C-.Travis is such an empty character, he constantly says Archer, Reed or Tucker did this or that, which only confirms his lack of contibution. There were a few bright spots, but another weak entry. :(

Once again I have to go with a solid B. Good to see Travis get some time for a change. The music was spectacular, gave me a real "Tos-feel". Even though this wasn't a big ep, I did really enjoy it. The scene where Travis and mom hold on while jumping to warp was a nice touch, showed they live much differently than the Ent crew. Watching T'Pol eat popcorn was cute too. I really hope they keep up with the music, it adds much more excitement and tension to scenes.

B+.

My Dad passed away when I was 24. I identified with what Travis felt.

I did like the "B" story with T'Pol, too -- it was fluff, but fun. And I thought the Archer/T'Pol "date" ("I beg your pardon?") was charming, playful -- and a lot sexier than the decon scenes. ;)

There are too many grades to choose from! I'm stuck between A and B, dang it!

No ..

There's NOT enough grades to choose from. Where's the A+ and F+ and even F-? Grrrr

Abstains from voting ....

(That's my usual route anyways)

If you're really looking for the F-, just scroll back up to my last post.

I can't believe there are people here seriously giving this idiotic drivel A's and even B's. There is some well written, well produced sci-fi entertainment out there (Stargate), and then there is this shit.

What?! People dare disagree with your infinite wisdom?

Shocking

B

The prodigal son returns home to the resentful older brother who stayed behind and to the nurturing mother who dotes on them both...and yet, as cliche-driven as this story could have been, as limited as was its plot - it moved me. And I've no doubt the music (which caught my attention as well) aided the emotion of the story. For once I believed in Archer's ability to lead and inspire from that small scene with Mayweather.

I also enjoyed the B-plot and that tiny glimpse of that wicked T'Pol humour..... Bride of Frankenstein indeed.

A-

It was a very episode.I liked it better than last week's episode.

FINALLY!!! Travis gets an episode for himself! Montgomery proved his worth as an actor here and should definitely be utilized more for future episodes. I felt for him when he learned about his father's death. And his scenes with Archer were well-acted, especially when the Captain said how much faith he had in him in regards to his selecting Travis for helm officer. I liked the inner workings of the cargo ship, as well as the interactions between the crew. About the only weak part was the B-story, but that's forgivable since the episode finally gave some long overdue attention for Mayweather. My overall score, B+ :)

A! We finally get to see the SWEET SPOT again. Twice! That's like some type of sensory overload or something :D :D

Montgomery was good. He's got room to grow (don't they all?), but I think he handled the ep well. It got a lil slow, but I don't mind b/c it was a good character-building ep. I hope we see more of impulsive Mayweather (he sure is learning from Archer & Trip).

The scenes with Archer and Mayweather made it worth watching.
Very true. It was quite touching, especially to know Archer had personal contact with Travis' father and was able to use that as some consolation for Travis.
