Exactly so.
Not story wise IMHO.
Exactly so.
Story isn't important, remember? Not story wise IMHO.
What is? Story? My meaning was that is the most important thing. Sorry if that wasn't clear.
No, they're not.Story/concept. They're both the same thing and I say it is the most important thing in Star Trek.
A concept and and actual story are two separate thing. No parsing involved. You're parcing semantics
Depends on the thing. The concept of Star Trek is not a story. Can we agree to call them two parts of the same thing?
Not story wise IMHO.
Yes and?But then again Star Trek is a story after all. Is it not? Many stories.
Everything is better with Cumberbatch.
Well yeah. But a concept takes a lot of work to be come a story. You can even get a good story from a bad concept and vice versa.Stories come directly from concepts, but there are good stories and concepts and bad stories and concepts.
BakedI find myself rolling my eyes more and more frequently at the "Star Trek is IMPORTANT and STUFF" crowd these days.
I want to be entertained by people having adventures on spaceships. That's it.
I don't care about any IMPORTANT stuff that is supposedly baked in there or whatever. If I need to get messages and values from a TV show...fuck.
But back to the original point, Star Trek is not a story.
