Spoilers Gotham - Season 3

I think they shot him in the legs just to make him hold still.
But I couldn't help but notice the gun involved was a Smith & Wesson model 500 .50 caliber magnum. I think, even with Butch, it would have blown his legs clean off.

They don't call him Butch for nothing.

Iron legs later on? They'll have to call him Old Ironsides

He'll be the bionic man before this is all through.

If Penguin / Riddler is not supposed to be massively homoerotic, then I'm really wondering what their intention is.

I thought that was Butch's death scene; shot THREE times in the back!; but no, he's fine.
Now, they might have made it vague to keep their options open.

What precipitated Penguin's emotional vulnerability is the destruction of his mother's statue , with whom he had a strong ( and (hopefully) nonsexually relationship. Riddler now fills that void.

Wow, I'm truly surprised they're making Penguin fall in love with Riddler. Kudos for going there. Makes the Barbara thing slightly less exploitative. Obviously Riddler isn't going to be remotely interested, even before he conveniently met Faux-Kringle, yet another bizarre insane plot twist for this show.

Maybe this is just me, but I can't believe Gordon saved ONE kid instead of TWO adults. Surely it's better to save two lives than one?

Hey, no Bruce or Alfred or Catwoman this episode!

I don't know that there's a right or wrong answer for that decision. At any rate, I don't think it comes down to strictly numbers. Jim didn't have long to chew on it either.

I don't know that there's a right or wrong answer for that decision.

Well, the standard rule for evacuations or rescues has traditionally been "women and children first" -- the adult men stay behind and sacrifice themselves to save the more vulnerable ones they're expected to protect. Presumably the "women" part is somewhat obsolete, but the principle of adults being expected to give their lives so that children can be saved is a long-standing one.

This is a hell of a thing to say about this show, but - this is getting weird.

And another odd thing to say about this show - this episode was frigging BRUTAL in terms of senseless murder. A bride and groom on their wedding day!? Jeez! Vale gutshot? JEEZ! Not to mention the innocent girl he throat-slit last week.

What's up with Fox and this episode...it's NOT on On Demand (Comcast) yet, and they're making you sign in to "unlock" the episode...

I didn't get how he was even supposed to save the couple in time. He obviously couldn't catch them. Was he just supposed to let the kid being run over and they would not have jumped?
Then it definitely was the right decision because he had no way of verifying that claim.
Saving the kid was the "save" bet.

My brother pointed out that it would be really hard for Gordon to run up those stairs and try to save the couple in 30 seconds. It was a lot easier to get to the boy in time.

I think despite how it looked onscreen that Jim could have saved either the couple or the boy. Tetch's machinations would be rather pointless if Jim could indeed only save the boy.

This show has really gone to the campy side of Batman and not the Nolan realistic variety.

We have themed goons now with The mad hatters tweedle dum and tweedle dee.

When the mad hatter killed that girl did anyone think his hideout looked like something straight out of the Arkham games?

Being like the Arkham games is definitely not a bad thing.

I just want Gordon to get a proto Bat suit and head full scale into insanity. I love this show.
