Google adds Bacon numbers

We're ALL within six degrees of Kevin Bacon by now. Literally. If you've ever met Bill Clinton that puts you two degrees away from about ten thousand different celebrities of all shapes and stripes.

This is Kevin Bacon's world. We're just sizzling in it.
And how high one is,after he met Star Trek actors at a convention?

Well, I've met James Doohan...and his Bacon Number is 2.

Doohan--->Bibi Besch(TWOK)---> Kevin Bacon(TREMORS).

Doesn't seem to work with international versions of Google as I'm not getting anything but news stories about this when doing a search.

Jon Hamm and Kevin Bacon need to make an anti vegetarian movie called "Bacon and Hamm"

Justin Bieber's Bacon number is 4.

For some reason it makes me happy that his number is relatively high. He is not worthy of the Bacon.

"Kevin Bacon's number is 0."

Whew. For a moment I thought I'd open a rip in the fabric of space-time and destroy the entire solar system.

It's not entirely accurate.

It says that Lon Chaney Sr. is 3 degrees from Bacon because both he and Kenneth Branagh appeared in The Unknown, over 30 years before Branagh was born :wtf:

Wrong movie, but apparently Kenneth Branagh narrated a documentary about Lon Chaney called "A Thousand Faces" in 2000.

Ah. Found an error. I ran Gabriel Iglesias, and it came up with 2:
Gabriel Iglesias and Demi Moore in Magic Mike;
Demi Moore and Kevin Bacon in A Few Good Men.

But Demi Moore WASN'T in Magic Mike. I even checked IMDB to be sure. So--completely wrong there.

Wow.

Even Steve-O from the Jackass franchise has a Bacon Number of 2. I guess if the whole movie and singing-with-your-brother thing ever falls flat Kevin can start a new career on MTV getting whacked in the groin with a rake handle.

I have a "Bacon Number" of 3.

I've personally met, touched, and hugged Jewel Staite... :sigh:

Jewel was in "Serenity" with Nathan Fillion.

Nathan Fillion was in a movie called "Super" with Kevin Bacon.

I have a Bacon number of 2 when it comes to meeting President Bill Clinton and a 3 in the case of James Doohan. I also know someone who met and talked to Bill Murray when he was in my area filming a movie a number of years ago, and Bill was in Wild Things with Kevin Bacon. That also gives me another number 3.

We need to face facts. We've all been Baconized. Kevin Bacon is in us all.

Wait. That didn't sound right. Ah, screw it.

Hrm... A few years ago William Rufus Shafter was an 11, then fell to 10, and now to 7.

This brings up an interesting project for someone who had access to the Bacon engine. Use each movie's release date to calculate the change in the universe of Bacon numbers over time (which is constantly shrinking), and make a Youtube clip of it, perhaps with ominous music or a narration by someone who does science documentaries for the BBC, or even Kevin Bacon himself.

Unfortunately we don't have enough data to create a system that includes screen time, or shared screen time (X had a 1:52 second scene with Y, who shared 7:52 seconds with Kevin Bacon).

Roger Daltry & Pete Townshend from the Who are both 2's.

They appeared with Jack Nicholson in Tommy
Jack appeared with Kevin in A Few Good Men

Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden is a 3.

Bruce appeared with Simon Callow in Chemical Wedding (Crowley)
Simon appeared with Dianne Wiest in Merci Docteur Rey <getting strenuous here>
Dianne appeared with Kevin in Footloose

Gene Simmons of KISS is a 2.

Gene appeared with Illeana Douglas in The New Guy
Illeana appeared with Kevin in Stir Of Echoes

Paul Stanley of KISS is a 3.

Paul appeared with Ozzy Osbourne in The Decline Of Western Civilization
Ozzy appeared with James McAvoy in Gnomeo & Juliet
James appeared with Kevin in X-Men: First Class (Kevin was in that?)

^
Yeah, he played bad guy Sebastian Shaw in the X prequel film.

Coincidentally, his character was named in tribute to the late actor who played the original Anakin Skywalker at the end of Return of the Jedi. So even the STAR WARS universe is just 2 degrees removed from Kevin Bacon.

Impressive. Most impressive. :D
