G.E. fans, I've decided to cut the half hour series at 249 eps. There will be 3 new 1 hour eps this year and that's it. But mourn not.

It's a good show but I think it's lost some "spark" lately, mostly tied with Alton's healthier eating life style/weight loss. Hope he's got another series he's doing next or something.

I was afraid that the show was winding down for some reason, dunno why. Definitely one of Food Network's signature shows. Hopefully, reruns will continue there or on its sister network, the Cooking Channel where quite a few of the older shows like Everyday Italian, Emeril, and others have gone...

I haven't seen the show in awhile (18 months), but whatever happened to "it's good eats, not healthy eats". He also signed a multi year deal with the network, so its fine.

I love Good Eats, but it hasn't interested me for a while. I do love Alton Brown, so hopefully he'll develop something new.

What happened is that Alton wants to live longer. Can't fault him for that.

Too bad the show will be ending, but it's had a hell of a run.
