Goddamn, Voyager (level) sucks!

So I've been playing Star Trek: Encounters for the PS2, and I have to say, it's been a pretty enjoyable game... at least until I got to the Voyager section.

I pretty much kicked ass with the NX-01, Enterprise-A, Enterprise-D and I kicked the Jem'Hadar's asses back to the Gamma Quadrant with the Defiant and Deep Space Nine, but goddamn, I can NOT get past the first level on Voyager.

So, I have to follow "warp conduits" to beat Maje Cullah to some artifacts, but I keep running into asteroids and the ship handles like it's got four flat tires on a sheet of ice. I can't disable Cullah's engines, either. So, I'm pretty pissed.

Anybody else had any problems with this game/level?

Yes, its a horribly difficult level, the worst in the game. I ended up using the cheat that unlocks all the levels to get past it.

I rejoiced when I beat Cullah and kicked the Kazon Raider's asses in orbit of the planet, but then I went into a coniption (sp?) fit and threw the controller when I learned I had to go through a SECOND set of warp conduits and got beaten again

Which is? I've had the game since it was first released and I simply cannot beat Cullah at all. :(

There's a cheat! I don't suppose you could share this?

Re: Goddamn, Voyager sucks!

I wonder how many of the Voyager forum regs have pressed the NM button over this thread?

I've edited your somewhat inappropiate thread title to something a bit more polite! Please don't post thread titles like that as they can be taken to be inflammatory, even although your post was a complaint about a VOY level in a game. Thanks.

Well, I finally beat the level. Took me seven attempts (I about shit myself when I noticed the target number of attempts was one).

Hope I'm not too late on this, but if you want the cheat:

Go into "Skirmish" mode and play an "onslaught" game. Doesn't matter which ship you use. Score enough so that you get a high score. When it asks you for your name, enter "4jstudios". That unlocks all the levels and all the ships. You can also enter "bethesda", which gives you all of the character cards.

Thanks, Jimbo! :D
