France is the only state in Europe to have such a ban.
For one thing, I don't think France should just out right ban it, what about peoples rights. If people choose to wear a burka, they should have that right IMO.

But do they choose to, or are they just doing what other people are expecting? For one thing, I don't think France should just out right ban it, what about peoples rights. If people choose to wear a burka, they should have that right IMO.France is the only state in Europe to have such a ban.
France has a peculiar position on display of religious symbols. Sometimes I agree with them, sometimes I do not. Personally I'm more about including as many symbols as possible (this is also a way to "desensitize" people to them) instead of banning them outright (which may cause resentments), but it's their country. For one thing, I don't think France should just out right ban it, what about peoples rights. b) all other food is expensive
I should start to collect all my grocery and restaurant bills just to prove you wrong.
c) The average French buy a fresh baguette every day.
Isn't Jean Reno like huge in France? That alone makes them pretty cool people IMO
He's well known of course.
Or just keep breeding until they become the majority, which, combined with immigration, probably will happen. Then bye-bye progressive secular laws.
And it's not what is happening. The 2nd and 3rd generations are a lot more secular than the 1st generation and they have 2.5 children like everyone![]()
Eh, France love them, hate them, just leave them the hell alone. Or your ears will bleed.
I think the Burkha thing is a big misstep for the French, but generally I love the place. Great food, wine, scenery, people and arts.
And what the hell is a baguette?
2.5 children? Are you sawing them in half Carrie?

America, emulate France? lol
I needed the laugh today.
The French understand and revere Jerry Lewis, which is something America still puzzles over.
You have no idea of what you are talking about, haven't you?America, emulate France? lol

We don't.
Carrie, tracking misconceptions.
My mistake then. Thank you for correcting my misconception. Seriously.![]()
I have a friend who told me how MILLIONS of French were homeless and unemployed thanks to the American Sanctions that were passed in the wake of France speaking out against America's invasion of Iraq.
Oh...Woody Allen then?
Yes, I enjoy my own conversation a lot.And is Carrie talking to herself again? Uh -oh
I agree, but only up until a certain point.France is the only state in Europe to have such a ban.

Seriously? Man... I've heard that one before, but always took it as a joke. There was a point in time when Jerry Lewis was adored by the French. But that was during his hey-day. Later, when he fell out of favor in the US, it didn't take all that long for Europe (and France) to follow suit. But maybe the records of adoration stuck and persisted the myth?My mistake then. Thank you for correcting my misconception. Seriously.![]()
