OK, so apparently someone decides it's a good idea to give tablets to apes so they can video chat with each other between cells.

I really don't want too see how ape Chatroulette would look like...
But seriously, I think that's a great idea, it might give apes incentive to learn basic things about using a tablet. Whatever the result is, it has the chance to be a very interesting experiment.
Think about it, tablets interfaces are mostly limited to pictograms, so an ape can be trained to use it for the basic things - maybe even launching an app and stopping an app. There's some potential to try if it can learn something on its own, though I doubt it will have any success, but we ought to try.
At the very worst, it will be the most high-tech gadget an animal has actually used, think about the comedy gold factor.
